Job Description

Objective of the role:

Coordinate planning and execution of a specific work-stream across involved engineering teams of a specific pillar. Ensure consistency with company strategy, commitments, and goals, according to the defined software delivery process.
Act as the interface between Engineering and GPMO / Product Management / Customer Success Management.

Responsibilities:

Processes

  • Oversee and drive consistent and effective team processes
  • Ensure that the Sprint Ceremonies of the team are run effectively and efficiently
  • Coach a team on the preferred process
  • Collaborate as member of the Delivery Department to identify patterns in impediments, resolve issues and formulate improvement steps

Initiatives

  • Assigned to drive an Initiative or a work stream

Planning

  • Drive backlog prioritisation in alignment with Product / Project Manager
  • Facilitate the definition of work scope and estimation, resource allocation planning and delivery timelines
  • Proactively manage changes in the scope, identify potential crises, and orchestrate contingency plans

Communication/ Reporting

  • Effectively communicate delivery expectations to team members and stakeholders based on the discussions with Product and Project Mgmt
  • Identify and facilitate ceremonies to coordinate work across the teams in order to achieve initiative goals. 
  • Develop methods to monitor work progress and provide delivery reporting (Provide a detailed level of progress monitoring and transparency). Cooperate with Development Lead to get the KPIs from the teams

Execution

  • Facilitate the high-level estimation of new initiatives
  • Ensure initiative will be delivered within the agreed timeline - track timelines, milestones,and deliverables 
  • Drive discussion with stakeholders to identify, analyse, prioritize, mitigate, and communicate the risks
  • Assist in the resolution of conflicts within and between workstreams or functional areas
  • Actively manage dependencies between the teams and different workstreams

Qualifications

If you’re the right candidate for us you’ll be able to demonstrate:

  • University or College Degree in Computer Science or relevant field;
  • At least 3 years of experience as a Delivery Manager or Project Manager or Scrum Master in an agile software development environment or a similar role;
  • Good leadership skills. Able to motivate, support and drive change at a team level;
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, both verbal and written;
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, embracing the change and driving improvement. Working effectively without comfort zone boundaries;
  • Good understanding of Software Development Lifecycle and Software Development Processes;
  • Working knowledge of JIRA or similar tools;
  • Prior experience in software engineering is preferred;
  • Good understanding of risks, issues, and the triple constraint.

Additional Information

This position is hybrid, 2 days a week in the office which is located near Peel metro station. 
Working hours are flexible.
