hackajob is seeking an experienced Data Engineer to work on a high-profile project with Genomics England. This role focuses on transitioning legacy healthcare platforms to modern FHIR-compliant systems. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in healthcare data interoperability, FHIR data mapping, and data pipeline creation. 

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain efficient and reliable data pipelines to handle large volumes of healthcare data.
• Perform FHIR data mapping and transformation to modernize legacy systems and ensure interoperability.
• Transition legacy healthcare platforms/technologies to FHIR-compliant solutions.
• Analyze, structure, and map data from various database architectures to align with FHIR standards.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support end-to-end project goals and meet deliverables.

Mandatory Skills and Experience:

• Strong healthcare data engineering expertise.
• In-depth knowledge and proven experience with FHIR (Fast Healthcare Interoperability Resources) data mapping and transformation.
• Demonstrated ability to design and develop scalable, reliable, and efficient data pipelines.
• Expertise in transitioning legacy systems into FHIR-compliant architectures.
• Extensive understanding of healthcare database structures and mapping legacy data systems to FHIR standards.

Desirable Skills and Experience:

• Experience creating FHIR implementation guides.
• Proficiency in using Profiles and Slicing to model FHIR data.
