About you:
You will be an enthusiastic software developer ideally with experience in PHP. This role will involve working with a legacy product giving the opportunity to work on a range of platforms and projects. In the team you will be able to decide your specialist areas to work on and learn from a very experienced development team.
Day-to-day, you will:
• Evaluates operational feasibility through analysis, problem definition, requirements gathering, solution development, and assessment of proposed solutions.
• Develops and documents solutions with detailed documentation, flowcharts, layouts, diagrams, charts, and clear code.
• Designs and implements system specifications, standards, and programming to prepare and install solutions.
• Conducts systems analysis to improve operations and recommends changes to policies and procedures.
• Manages software procurement by liaising with vendors, recommending purchases, and testing and approving products.
Your skills and experiences might also include:
• Ideally demonstratable experience with PHP and SQL (in a Unix-based environment)
• Demonstratable experience with modern Web standards (HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript)
• Experience with Apache, Nginx and MongoDB would be beneficial.
• Possesses strong skills in analyzing information and general programming.
• Demonstrates expertise in software design, debugging, and documentation.
• Excels in software testing and effective problem solving.
• Works well in team settings, contributing to collaborative software development.
• Has a solid understanding of software development fundamentals, processes, and requirements.
