About the Job:

The Senior Network Security Engineer is an individual contributor supporting network security technologies, network cyber defense, security engineering tools with Zscaler, threat monitoring and network security management in the organization Cybersecurity Services. This role leads the security and infrastructure teams on the cybersecurity engineering, implementation, tunning, optimization, operation, and monitoring of technology solutions and methodologies to ensure network infrastructures both on-prem and cloud are fully secured and monitored continuously.  This role requires advanced level knowledge of the network security landscape, Zero TRUST capabilities, and Zscaler security capabilities to be able to better implement and maintain impactful security solutions.

You will be responsible for innovating, developing, implementing, and managing groundbreaking Zscaler capabilities to secure the network on-prem, SaaS, and IaaS infrastructures. You have in-depth experience in managing and deploying network security products with Zscaler products to build, secure, and monitor the infrastructure and the eco systems both on-prem and in cloud. This role requires expertise in the cybersecurity and network infrastructure industry.

What You’ll Get to Do:

• • Develop and maintain detailed documentation of network security designs, configurations, and procedures.
  • Maintain close ties to various stakeholders, developers, and engineers across the company, ensuring the services we create meet their needs as products evolve.
  • Engineer solutions (initial state, build, deploy, tune, optimize, automation, continuous monitoring).
  • Create content filters, rules, dashboards, network security KPI/KRI and reports.
  • Provide cybersecurity, compliance and audit evidence for monitored network systems.
  • SOAR & Automation: Identify and implement automation of repetitive tasks. Security Orchestration, Automation and Response.
  • Responsible for ongoing engineering support and operation of Zscaler Cyberthreat Protection, and Data Protection, Zero Trust Network products.
  • Support Zscaler network security upgrades, troubleshooting, and deployment for both on-prem and in the cloud.
  • Communicate extensively with Data Protection Product and engineering teams across the organization.
  • Engineer, build, and maintain infrastructure to meet the organization’s requirements and ensure high availability.
  • Applying adept understanding and experience with systems automation platforms and technologies.
  • Drive complex technical initiatives to fully delivery leveraging knowledge of Cyber security practices, software engineering principles, agile frameworks, and customer engagement.

   

What You’ll Bring with You:

• 10+ years of hands-on experience in network security, infrastructure security, cloud security, edge security, network data security, and other networking cybersecurity-related controls and technologies including DNS, F.W, Zero TRUST.
• Ability to identify security risks and weaknesses and provide security mitigation and remediation recommendations
• Prior experience with configuration and management of Zscaler cloud security solutions, including Zscaler Internet Access (ZIA) and Zscaler Private Access (ZPA).
• Ability to foster collaborative, open, working relationships with technology groups and other stakeholders, including vendor relationships.
• Proficiency to engineer and build network security capabilities in the areas of monitoring, detection, protection, prevention and the concept of cyber defense network engineering.
• Experience implementing multiple high-visibility and high-impact enterprise cybersecurity networking projects with cross-functional teams while maintaining superior results including planning, development and management of technical requirements, design, testing and deployment of security solutions.
• Strong understanding of Zscaler Zero TRUST and Zscaler Network Security principles.
• Expertise in engineering, deployment, automation, and monitoring network security components like Encryption, DNS Security, Network DLP, Zero TRUST, F.W, Segmentation, Security Logging, and Defense-In-Depth with Zscaler and/or other commercial network cybersecurity solutions.
• Work closely with stakeholder teams (Compliance, Windows, Linux, Network, Chronicle, Remedy, Asset Management) to develop high value enterprise capabilities/results while reducing noise and false alarms.
• Experience with managing Hardware Security Modules (HSMs).
• Experience with other cloud security solutions, such as Palo Alto Networks or Check Point.
• Familiarity with DevOps tools, such as Jenkins or Docker.
• Experience with scripting languages, such as Python or PowerShell.
• Clear communication skills and ability to interact effectively at multiple levels of an organization, and to influence leadership (Including translating technical information based on specific audiences).
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field highly preferred.
• Multiple certifications in cybersecurity and data protection cybersecurity highly preferred (CISSP, GIAC, CISM, CCSP, CISA, or Security+, or other related certifications).
• Zscaler Certified Security Engineer (ZCSE)
• Zscaler Digital Transformation Administrator Certification, Zero Trust Certified Associate
• Other Network Security Certifications including CISCO or Palo Alto Certified
