We are seeking an experienced Technical Modeller with a strong technical background and proficiency in the ArchiMate modelling language. In this role, you will support the development and maintenance of architecture models that accurately represent the organisation’s systems, processes, and infrastructure.
You will work closely with architects, technical teams, and stakeholders to ensure models are both accurate and actionable, bridging the gap between high-level architecture and detailed technical implementation.
This is a fully onsite role in Basingstoke requiring DV clearance and sole UK nationality.
Develop and Maintain Models: Create, update, and assure architectural models using ArchiMate.
Collaborate with Architects: Work with enterprise, solution, and technical architects to ensure models align with organisational goals and architecture frameworks.
Translate Technical Systems: Convert complex systems, processes, and infrastructure into clear and accurate ArchiMate models.
Assure Model Quality: Ensure models are consistent, accurate, and adhere to organisational standards and best practices.
Validate Against Implementation: Work with technical teams to compare models with real-world implementations, identifying gaps or inconsistencies.
Develop Modelling Standards: Contribute to the creation of standards, guidelines, and templates for consistent modelling across the organisation.
Stay Current: Keep up to date with advancements in ArchiMate and related modelling tools, recommending improvements to modelling practices.
Proven experience as a Technical Modeller, Enterprise Modeller, or similar role.
Strong proficiency in the ArchiMate modelling language and associated tools (e.g., Archi, BiZZdesign, Sparx EA, iServer).
Solid technical background to understand systems, processes, and infrastructure.
Experience collaborating with architects, technical teams, and stakeholders to produce actionable models.
Understanding of enterprise architecture frameworks (e.g., TOGAF) and ability to ensure alignment with organisational standards.
Strong attention to detail and ability to ensure model accuracy, consistency, and quality.
DV clearance (Developed Vetting) or eligibility to obtain.
Sole UK national / British citizen.
Must be onsite 5 days per week in Basingstoke.
Previous experience working in government, defence, or critical infrastructure projects.
Familiarity with related modelling standards (BPMN, UML, or capability modelling).
Experience with enterprise architecture assurance or governance processes.
