Join us as a Site Reliability Engineer, Markets RTB at Barclays, where you will be part of a global team dedicated to supporting the production environment within Electronic Trading, Markets area. You would participate on ensuring the smooth running of production systems, providing high level of service to business users, while also applying software engineering principles to eliminate repeated manual effort (Toil) and create automated, scalable, and reliable services.
To be successful as a Site Reliability Engineer, Markets RTB, you should have experience with:
- On-premise systems (Linux/Unix or Windows)
- Scripting proficiency in Python, Shell/Bash
- Knowledge of database technologies such as PostgreSQL, MS SQL, or Oracle
Some other highly valued skills may include:
- Experience implementing observability and monitoring solutions, ideally including tools like Elastic, Geneous ITRS and Grafana
- Familiarity with containerisation and virtualisation technologies
- Knowledge of ITIL principles, a proactive attitude, and a strong desire to learn
This role will be based out our Prague office.
