Team – Group Tax
Working Pattern - Hybrid – 2 days per week in the Vitality Bournemouth Office. Full time, 35 hours per week.

What this role is all about:
Reporting to the Group Tax Accountant this is a great first opportunity to move in-house and join a dynamic and fast paced business. The tax analyst will primarily support the Vitality Group Tax team across the full spectrum of business taxes including CT, VAT, employment taxes, IPT, and international taxes in a varied and diverse role.
Key Actions
- Assisting with the preparation of the quarterly VAT group returns, ensuring on-time submissions and payments, and preparing monthly tax balance sheet reconciliations
- Preparation of the annual PAYE Settlement Agreement calculations
- Analysis of tax sensitive costs for CT returns
- Monthly reviews and analysis of travel and expense data for reporting purposes
- Support with regular tax reporting to our parent company in South Africa
- Understand, document, and maintain relevant tax compliance processes and support the enhancement of these processes
- Create and maintain effective working relationships with all key stakeholders
- Support the tax team on other ad hoc projects as and when required
What do you need to thrive?
- 2+ years of experience in a tax or finance role (either in-house or in practice)
- Self-motivated, with an ability to work independently
- Strong inter-personal skills and an ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Detail-oriented and strong work ethic
- High tolerance for change, embrace change as opportunity
- Organised with ability to multi-task and prioritise workload
- Ability to collaborate remotely with a cross functional global team
- Strong communication (written and verbal), research and analytical skills
- Strong Excel and knowledge of ERP systems such as SAGE or similar
- Proficient MS Word/Powerpoint skills
