The Business Resilience Domain Lead is a key role in the Business Resilience team and will support the Head of Business Resilience with managing delivery of change initiatives and BAU improvements across the domain. The Domain Lead is responsible for the successful delivery of the work that the team has committed to. The Domain Lead will assist the team to deliver value, achieved by understanding the customer needs, escalating organisational impediments, managing risk and driving a culture of continuous improvement. The Domain Lead will report to the Head of Security Delivery and be allocated to support the Business Resilience domain. The Domain Lead may be supported by one or more Change Leads depending on the complexity of the domain.

Key Responsibilities

  • Alongside the Head of Domain, takes responsibility for delivering strategic business outcomes through delivery of services to internal customers.
  • Responsible for identifying, tracking, removing and escalating impediments and blockers at team level to maintain both pace and flow of value.
  • Responsible for development, operational maintenance and facilitation of resource plans, forecasts future resource requirements, working with customers, Head of Business Resilience and the Head of Cyber Security Delivery to agree resource requirements.
  • Responsible for coaching, mentoring and guiding team members with day-to-day activities.
  • Responsible for driving collaboration and continuous improvement mind-set across the team.
  • Responsible for constructing clear and concise communication channels within and across the team resulting in transparency and openness.
  • Responsible for managing the CHANGE budget for the Domain and supporting the Head of Domain in managing the RUN budget.

Essential Skills & Experience

  • An excellent knowledge of Business Resilience principles.
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience of delivery within heavily regulated environments including external regulated consumer products and service offerings.
  • Knowledge of identification and management of specific engineering, design and testing standards and practices that comply with internal organisation IT governance and architectural standards within a heavily regulated environment.
  • Knowledge and experience with 3rd party service providers including facilitation of RFP, onboarding, and performance management
  • Awareness of IT architectural governance, standards and methodology
  • Extensive experience of both agile and waterfall project management. fundamentals with the ability to apply principles, tools and techniques to develop/plan, manage or execute projects to ensure successful completion.
  • Knowledge and experience in the use of tools such as: Jira, Confluence etc.
  • Excellent communication skills as the ability to communicate effectively, constructively, confidently and professionally is key to the success in the role as is the ability to work with IT and Information Security teams and the wider business.
  • Ability to actively manage workloads to meet business and department requirements.

Desirable Skills & Experience

  • Experience working within in an Agile framework.
  • Experience of business continuity, risk management or compliance
  • A working knowledge of financial services and the typical business processes involved together with the threat actors and their relevant tactics, techniques and procedures would be of significant advantage.
  • Experience in either a technical or delivery position with the specific Security Domain.
  • Recognised Cyber Security qualification(s) would be beneficial (eg CISMP, CISM, CISSP)
  • Project Management qualification(s) (eg Agile PM (Practitioner), APM PMQ)
