- Advise on Built-In-Test (BIT) strategies and failure detection methods.
- Support Reliability Growth Testing and Finite Element Analysis to ensure mission-critical performance.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to implement reliability solutions before production.
You’ll work across the Surveillance Radar business area, influencing supportability strategies and ensuring the highest standards of reliability for advanced radar products.
What We Need From You
You really must have:
- Honours degree (or equivalent) in an engineering or science discipline such as Electronic/Electrical engineering, systems engineering, physics or similar
- Experience of working in industry within defence, aerospace, telecoms, or other complex electronic systems environments would be beneficial.
- Familiarity with MIL-HDBK-217 Reliability Prediction Modelling.
- Knowledge of Design Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA).
- A degree in engineering or a science-based discipline, or equivalent industry experience.
It would be nice if you had:
- Some familiarity with radar, RF, or complex sensor systems would be beneficial, especially understanding of how hardware, firmware and software elements interact from a reliability point of view.
- Experience working on mission‑ or safety‑critical equipment (e.g. aircraft sensors, air defence, surveillance systems) and understanding of availability, mission reliability and through‑life support concepts is valued.
If you don’t tick every box, don’t worry—what matters most is a positive attitude and willingness to learn.
