Job responsibilities
- Execute software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting to build solutions or break down technical problems
- Create secure and high-quality production code and maintain algorithms that run synchronously with appropriate systems
- Produce architecture and design artifacts for complex applications, ensuring design constraints are met by software code development
- Gather, analyze, synthesize, and develop visualizations and reporting from large, diverse data sets to improve software applications and systems
- Proactively identify hidden problems and patterns in data to drive improvements to coding hygiene and system architecture
- Contribute to software engineering communities of practice and events that explore new and emerging technologies
Required qualifications, capabilities and skills
- Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 3+ years applied experience
- Experience in software development with Java, Spring Boot, Python, and cloud technologies
- Hands-on experience in system design, application development, testing, and operational stability
- Experience developing, debugging, and maintaining code in a large corporate environment with modern programming languages and database querying languages
- Experience designing and building enterprise-scale, high-volume Oracle data processing applications using PL/SQL, Java Stored Procedures, and triggers
- Overall knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle and agile methodologies such as CI/CD, resiliency, and security
- Demonstrated knowledge of software applications and technical processes within a technical discipline (e.g., cloud, artificial intelligence, machine learning, mobile)
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Knowledge of machine learning and data science concepts and packages in Python (sklearn, Numpy, Pandas)
- Experience building ML models and data science applications for various use cases
- Experience with graph databases such as GraphDB or Neo4j
- Familiarity with modern front-end technologies
