What You'll Do

As a Software Engineer II, you'll contribute directly to the evolution of Physna's core SaaS platform. You'll work across backend services, APIs, and data systems—delivering clean, maintainable code and collaborating with peers to bring new features to our customers.

Your work will include:

• Building and maintaining production-grade backend services and APIs
• Collaborating with product and design teams to deliver features that customers love
• Contributing to CI/CD, testing, and monitoring best practices
• Participating in technical design reviews and system architecture discussions

What We'll Expect from You

• 4+ years of backend or full-stack development experience, ideally in distributed, cloud-native systems
• Proficiency in languages like JavaScript/TypeScript, Python, Go, or C++, and quick to learn new ones
• Working knowledge of RESTful API design patterns, microservices, and event-driven architectures
• Hands-on cloud experience (AWS, GCP, or Azure) with scalable, secure services
• Demonstrated ability to ship and support reliable systems in production environments
• A product mindset: ownership, urgency, and delivering real value, not just code
• A systems-thinking mindset: seeing interconnections and automating as you go, delivering resilient, creative, and efficient solutions that strengthen the whole system
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience
• You must be legally authorized to work in the United States (no visa sponsorship)

Nice to Have

• Exposure to 3D data, CAD tools, or engineering/manufacturing workflows or the drive to learn quickly
• Prior experience in fast-moving startups where ownership and bias for action are key
