JOB DESCRIPTIONChase is looking for a Product Manager to be part of Card Acquisitions product, supporting our Customer Authentication capabilities. The vision of this team is to enhance the account opening customer experience while creating consistent authentication and onboarding in the Card Co-brand space. As a Product Manager in Customer Acquisition Experiences, you are an integral part of the team that innovates new product offerings and leads the end-to-end product life cycle. As a core leader, you are responsible for acting as the voice of the customer and developing profitable products that provide customer value. Utilizing your deep understanding of how to get a product off the ground, you guide the successful launch of products, gather crucial feedback, and ensure top-tier client experiences. With a strong commitment to scalability, resiliency, and stability, you collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality products that exceed customer expectations.
Job responsibilities- Develop a product strategy and product vision that delivers value to customers.
- Manage discovery efforts and market research to uncover customer solutions and integrate them into the product roadmap.
- Own, maintain, and develop a product backlog that enables development to support the overall strategic roadmap and value proposition.
- Build the framework and track the product's key success metrics such as cost, feature and functionality, risk posture, and reliability.
- Form relationships critical to supporting the product vision, strategy, objectives, discovery, and delivery.
- Perform in-depth analysis for fact finding on existing behavior of the system, including business logic and end-to-end data flow, and educate stakeholders to help ensure the build of comprehensive, robust requirements.
- Collect, refine, and maintain a healthy backlog of user stories which are easily understood by the consuming team(s).
- Facilitate discussions with technical, design, and analytics partners to refine stories to a level of detail that will enable code to be written and tested without defects or requirements gaps; write acceptance criteria and generate test scripts.
- Responsible for adhering to the JIRA processing and maintaining Confluence documentation, including maintaining a living evergreen repository so we always have an understanding of our current state.
- Expected to be an active participant in testing and data conditioning.
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills- 5+ years of experience or equivalent expertise in product management or a relevant domain area
- Advanced knowledge of the product development life cycle, design, and data analytics
- Proven ability to lead product life cycle activities including discovery, ideation, strategic development, requirements definition, and value management
- Ability to leverage analytic insights and a deep understanding of data to continually improve the experience and reach or exceed OKRs
- Effective execution in a demanding technology space, managing multiple co-suppliers, complex dependencies, and modernization efforts
- Excellent written communication skills
- Ability to manage tight delivery timelines and maintain calmness under pressure
- Strong collaboration and relationship-building skills across the firm and with external partners; flexibility with changing priorities
- Experience with agile product development and the software delivery lifecycle
- Experience with API-based designs, Kafka-driven architecture, and the JavaScript stack
- Familiarity with the business services and offerings associated with Chase Account Opening
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills- Demonstrated prior experience working in a highly matrixed, complex organization
- Experience with risk management and fraud prevention tools
- Self-motivated with a high degree of independence, has a bias towards action, and willing to roll up their sleeves to ensure projects are tracking towards success
- Experience with Event-based designs, microservices, web services
- BA or BS in applicable field of study
