Senior Data Scientist

MANTECH seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented Senior Data Scientist to join our team in Patuxent River, MD.  This is a fulltime onsite position.
 

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Apply data mining, data modeling, natural language processing, and machine learning to extract and analyze information from large structured and unstructured datasets

• Visualize, interpret, and report data findings

• Create dynamic data reports

• Apply knowledge to develop and implement a set of techniques or analytics applications to transform raw data into information using data-oriented programming languages and visualization software

• Travel up 10%

Minimum Qualifications:

• 8+ years of experience performing Data Scientist related work

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical or business discipline, or a High School Diploma and 14+ years of data scientist experience, or an Associate’s degree and 12+ years of data scientist experience may be substituted in lieu of degree

• Ability to conduct briefings to Senior Military & Civil Service personnel

Preferred Qualifications:

• 3+ years of experience supporting NAVAIR programs or related organizations

• 2+ years of experience with utilization of the Synthetic Theater Operations Research Model (STORM) simulation model

• Familiarity with the Naval Aviation Enterprise (NAE) organization and operations

• Familiarity with NAVAIR Acquisition process

Clearance Requirements:

• Must be a U.S. Citizen and possess and active or current Secret clearance

Physical Requirements:

• The person in this position must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time. Occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, or to communicate with co-workers, management, and customers, via email, phone, and or virtual communication, which may involve delivering presentations.
