Mantech seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented Senior Linux System Administrator to join our team in Ft. Meade, MD.
 

In this role, you will support the implementation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of IT systems, as well as manage IT system infrastructure and associated processes.
 

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Provide support for implementation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of IT systems. Perform Tier 1 (Help Desk) and Tier 2 (Escalation) problem identification, diagnosis, and resolution.
  • Support day-to-day operations and monitoring, and resolve issues related to client/server/storage/network devices and mobile systems.
  • Escalate and communicate status updates to agency management and internal customers.
  • Optimize system operations and resource utilization; perform system capacity analysis and planning.
  • Configure and manage Linux operating systems; install and maintain OS software; implement system enhancements to improve reliability and performance.
  • Troubleshoot and maintain system and network integrity. Provide detailed analysis and feedback to management and internal stakeholders on escalated issues.
  • Support the design of systems, mission architecture, and associated hardware.
  • Analyze and resolve complex problems related to server hardware, software, and application integration.
     

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline; An additional 5 years of related experience might be substituted for a degree
  • 14+ years of Systems Administration experience.
  • Must be proficient with troubleshooting in a Linux environment.  

 

Security Clearance Requirements:

  • Current/Active TS/SCI with Polygraph.
     

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time.
  • Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery (e.g., calculator, copy machine, printer).
  • Frequently communicates with co-workers, management, and customers, which may include delivering presentations.

The projected compensation range for this position is $105,800.00-$175,900.00. There are differentiating factors that can impact a final salary/hourly rate, including, but not limited to, Contract Wage Determination, relevant work experience, skills and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location (For Remote Opportunities), education and certifications as well as Federal Government Contract Labor categories.  In addition, MANTECH invests in its employees beyond just compensation.  MANTECH’s benefits offerings include, dependent upon position, Health Insurance, Life Insurance, Paid Time Off, Holiday Pay, short-term and long-term Disability, Retirement and Savings, Learning and Development opportunities, wellness programs as well as other optional benefit elections.
