About the team
The Tesco Mobile QA team is cross-functional, responsible for all testing and quality aspects. Diverse, motivated individuals working on business-critical software in regular sprints across a range of technologies benefiting the wider business.
About the role
Looking for a motivated, curious QA Agile Engineer, perfect for recent grads or early-career pros passionate about software quality. You’ll support product quality in Agile teams, collaborate with developers and stakeholders, contribute to test planning, execute test cases, and learn Agile principles and QA tools. Mentorship and continuous learning are part of the culture.
Squads and key technologies
• Carehub – customer support systems based on Salesforce Service Cloud with integrations to IVRs and backend systems
• eCommerce squad – customer and colleague-facing sales and retention platform based on Adobe Magento and Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) with back-end integrations
• Tech & Data – infrastructure, monitoring/logging of Engineering systems, development tools, and pipelines
Skills
• Quick learner with passion for technology and quality
• Proactive and enthusiastic about new tools and methodologies
• Strong understanding of SDLC and STLC
• Adaptable, innovative in development and testing
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Keen interest in Agile practices and software testing principles
• At least 3 months internship or hands-on experience in development or testing
Preferred qualifications
• Internship experience in Tech, IT, Software Testing, or QA
• Basic knowledge of Java, JavaScript, or other languages
• Currently pursuing or recently completed degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field
• Preparing for or holding ISTQB Foundation Level certification
• Exposure to testing tools, scripting, or version control systems a plus
Key responsibilities
• Collaborate with cross-functional Agile teams to ensure product quality
• Assist in writing and executing test cases for web and mobile apps
• Learn and apply QA tools, frameworks, and automation
• Participate in sprint ceremonies and continuous improvement
• Support defect tracking, root cause analysis, and documentation
• Embrace growth mindset and seek feedback and mentorship
