What this role is all about:

We’re seeking someone to lead our mental health talking therapies and physiotherapy provider partnerships. This is a senior, hands-on role where you’ll set strategic direction while ensuring operational delivery.

We’d like you to drive our Everyday Care (EDC) therapy partnerships and help shape our care pathways. To support UK Health and Life insurance businesses to improve access, experience, cost efficiency, and clinical outcomes. Key Actions

  • Strategic Development: Shape and evolve our member offer through partnerships with key clinical providers, delivering integrated, triaged care pathways in collaboration with digital journey teams and secondary care partner colleagues.
  • Operational Excellence: Oversee day-to-day partner management, performance optimisation, and governance, ensuring safe appropriate and effective clinical care and outstanding member experience across platforms and pathways.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Act as the primary interface between partners and Vitality’s operational, product, governance, journey and servicing teams.
  • Portfolio Leadership: Initially focused on mental health and physiotherapy partnerships, including remote and face-to-face care providers, triage platforms and self-care tools. With scope to expand as the EDC portfolio evolves. 

What do you need to thrive?

  • Healthcare provider or partner management experience - Previous operational and/or clinical experience working for or with primary care and/or digital health providers, particularly in the field of mental health and physiotherapy, ideally within a private healthcare setting and advantageous if in the context of insurance partnerships.
  • Strong leadership experience - ability to proactively manage, engage and collaborate with stakeholders at a senior level in a clear and decisive manager, taking ownership, driving strategy and delivering against cost/benefit targets.
  • Healthcare domain expertise - ability to innovate, design and deliver commercially viable, patient centric healthcare pathways and services, with experience in implementing or overseeing care delivery governance and safeguarding frameworks and supporting internal or external audits.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills - driving win-win outcomes through shared goals, negotiations and effective and efficient communications
  • Technology savvy and digital CX mindset - to understand and critically evaluate partner solutions and dependencies and work effectively with technology and journey teams for delivery
  • Effective operational delivery - combining project management, change management, continuous improvement and process management skills with excellent cross-functional team leadership and engagement
  • Data driven - ability to effectively analyse and report on data trends from partners and work with teams to proactively identify issues and trends, unearth root causes or opportunities and implement clear and effective action plans.
  • Personal - able to work in a fast-moving environment, dealing with multiple stakeholders, effectively managing own and team member resource prioritisation, balancing day to day task with strategy while contributing to project teams for change delivery. Great with numbers and working to commercial targets - proficient and efficient with intermediate Excel skills for analysis and reporting. Self-driven and role-modelling Vitality's values.
