Technology drives what we do, and our Store Tech team is at the heart of this, developing hundreds of applications used by over 28,000 users across 500 stores. We work with the latest technologies, including Android, RFID, Bluetooth, Azure cloud, and touchscreen tills.
We're a 45-plus strong department with four development teams. We need a solid team to help us drive our systems forward and deliver the latest software and features for our customers and store colleagues.
We're looking for a talented and passionate Senior Automation Test Analyst to join our Store Tech Team. In this role, you will be a key part of our agile development projects, working closely with the development team and key business users to ensure the quality of our in-house technologies.
You will interpret functional specifications to produce comprehensive test plans and strategies assisted by AI. Your core responsibility will be to design, develop, and maintain our automated test suite, working out how to automate test cases efficiently and effectively. You will also provide key input into our future plans and schedules.
As a senior member of the team, you will mentor junior team members, acting as a bold challenger to help us find smarter ways of working and automating the everyday. You’ll provide regular updates and status reports, alerting the team to potential and critical issues before they arise.
Essential:
Software Automation Experience
Reqnroll, Selenium WebDriver, Appium, Postman/RestAssured/SoapUI or Leapwork.
Demonstrable prior experience in a senior position.
Proven experience with SQL for database interrogation.
Experience with automated and manual testing throughout the full software development lifecycle, including test planning, scripting, execution, and analysis.
Proficiency with modern testing tools such as Azure DevOps, ADO, and Browserstack.
Experience in web-based and mobile testing (Android).
Experience coaching or mentoring junior team members.
A logical, methodical approach to problem-solving and an organized professional who can plan for the future.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, fast-paced environment within a multi-functional technical team.
Desirable:
Coded Automation in Reqnroll (SpeqFlow)
C#, Java, JavaScript skills
A professional accreditation (e.g., ISTQB / ISEB).
Knowledge of retail business environment processes.
Ability to provide maximum coverage with minimum tests.
Experience preparing various reports for testing.
Programming / scripting macros.
