Job responsibilities
- Executes software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting with a focus on secure, stable applications
- Writes high-quality production code using at least one programming language
- Designs, develops, codes, and troubleshoots with consideration of upstream and downstream systems
- Applies knowledge of tools within the Software Development Life Cycle to improve automation and value
- Gathers, analyzes, and synthesizes data to identify problems and support decision-making
- Learns and applies system processes and methodologies for secure, stable code and systems
Required qualifications, capabilities and skills
- Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 2+ years applied experience
- Proficient in Java, Spring Boot, AWS, Terraform, Kafka, Python, and database technologies
- Practical experience in system design, application development, testing, and ensuring operational stability
- Skilled in developing, debugging, and maintaining code in large corporate environments using modern programming and database querying languages
- Demonstrated ability to write code in one or more programming languages
- Knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle and its application in project delivery
- Familiarity with agile methodologies, including CI/CD, application resiliency, and security practices
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Familiarity with modern front-end technologies
- Exposure to cloud technologies
- Experience with Snowflake or Databricks
