Director of Public Service Broadcasting

Arqiva is seeking a commercially astute and politically savvy Director of PSB to lead our strategic relationships with the UK’s Public Service Broadcasters — including the BBC, ITV, Channel 4, and Channel 5. This is a pivotal role, accountable for driving long-term growth, innovation, and policy influence across the UK’s broadcast ecosystem.

The role

• Strategically lead Arqiva’s largest client relationships & deliver commercial performance. Deliver commercial performance & annual budget. Develop and execute a roadmap that secures long-term value and relevance.
• Lead with impact. Be a thought leader both internally and externally, championing best practice and inspiring teams across the business. Bring outside in, help evolve our product suite, collaborating with customers & internal product management teams.
• Drive commercial diversification, identifying new revenue streams across a portfolio of managed services products inc cloud-based content distribution, playout, content delivery & processing.
• Influence policy and regulatory direction, working closely with internal and external stakeholders to shape the future of UK broadcasting.
• Coach and inspire a high-performing team, fostering innovation, accountability, and strategic thinking across the PSB portfolio.

The person

• Proven experience in executive-level account management, commercial leadership, within the Media & Broadcast sector.
• Enjoys working with complex models & governance frameworks and has an understanding of government undertakings, regulatory frameworks, and public service media dynamics.
• Strong commercial acumen, with the ability to assess financial impact, manage complex deals, and drive strategic growth.
• Exceptional stakeholder management, with a track record of building trusted relationships at C-suite and policy-making levels.
• A strategic mindset with the ability to translate vision into action, backed by robust financial and operational planning.
