What you'll do 

  • Decides on architectural strategic technology & vendor choices/selection for the architecture landscape and TCO economic ambition bringing together technical depth and breadth in a drive towards a single vision.  
  • Decides and sets direction on 1–3-year target architectures, transitional states, blueprints, principles, standards & rolling adaptable costed roadmaps for their area.  This is in collaboration with D&T product, engineering, data and business stakeholders with a clear line of sight to business need / outcome/ vision and simplifies the landscape.  This must also show end to end compliance with the rest of the architecture target. 
  • Form part of overall architecture governance ensuring adequate level of architecture artefacts are well understood, are clear, simple and collaboratively created.  That transition roadmaps form business cases and executable plans and guide the way to full implementation.  
  • Ensure the total cost of ownership (TCO) is considered in all decision-making enabling simplification and lowering towards target state. 
  • Ensure architecture vision, targets and changes are delivered seamlessly in partnership with the business 

 

Who you are 

  • 5 – 10+ years enterprise architecture expertise with  a strong knowledge of frameworks and modelling tools (e.g. TOGAF / ArchiMate / BIZBOK / LeanIX ) 
  • Experience developing enterprise models across Business Capability, Product, Service Domain and Data 
  • Proven track record of delivering digital transformation at scale and execution at pace within the last 3 years of emerging architecture and technology trends.    
  • Strong understanding of architectural patterns, integration and modern engineering practices 
  • Knowledge of IT operating frameworks (e.g. ITIL / COBIT / IT4IT / SIAM / DevOps / etc) 
  • Awareness of various ITSM products & tools (Helix / ServiceNow / Jira / etc) 
  • Awareness of UK and international standards and legislation around cyber security and resilience (e.g. NIS2 Directive, DORA, ISO/IEC 27001, NIST Cybersecurity Framework, GDPR)
