JOB DESCRIPTION

Chase is seeking a dedicated and innovative Product Director to lead a key area of the rapidly growing Open Banking product. In this role, you will use your experience in customer-focused outcomes and strong delivery track record to provide customers improved experiences to manage their personal finances including holistic views of their data, and enhance several use cases including Payments.

As an Executive Director, Product in Open Banking, you will lead innovation through the development of products and features that delight customers. As a leader on the team, you will challenge traditional approaches, remove barriers to success, and foster a culture of continuous innovation that helps inspire cross-functional teams create groundbreaking solutions that address customer needs.

Job responsibilities

  • Oversees the product roadmap, vision, development, execution, risk management, and business growth targets
  • Leads the entire product life cycle through planning, execution, and future development by continuously adapting, developing new products and methodologies, managing risks, and achieving business targets like cost, features, reusability, and reliability to support growth
  • Coaches and mentors the product team on best practices, such as solution generation, market research, storyboarding, mind-mapping, prototyping methods, product adoption strategies, and product delivery, enabling them to effectively deliver on objectives
  • Owns product performance and is accountable for investing in enhancements to achieve business objectives
  • Monitors market trends, conducts competitive analysis, and identifies opportunities for product differentiation
  • Partner with and influence other Product teams to enhance existing customer experiences to include external data.
  • Partner with engineering leads to oversee development team and ensure effective sprint planning and utilization of development cycles
  • Engage in and drive testing and validation across feature delivery
  • Lead a team of product managers
  • Act as a strategic partner across the Product Quad team partnering with tech, design and data

Required qualifications, capabilities and skills 

  • 10+ years of experience or equivalent expertise delivering products, projects, or technology applications
  • Extensive knowledge of the product development life cycle, technical design, and data analytics
  • Proven ability to influence the adoption of key product life cycle activities including discovery, ideation, strategic development, requirements definition, and value management
  • Experience leading product teams, driving change within large organizations, and managing stakeholders across multiple functions
  • Strong experience with APIs, including API-based products and services, and an understanding of API-related concepts (ex. JSON), and experience with partner-facing restful APIs
  • Experience in defining and building out product roadmap  
  • Structured and strategic thinker, effective communicator with excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Commitment and self-motivation suitable to a start-up team
  • Proficient with the Microsoft Office suite and with JIRA

Preferred qualifications, capabilities and skills 

  • Recognized thought leader within Open Banking
  • Demonstrable experience working on a regulated product or feature set
