JOB TITLE: Principal Engineer
LOCATION: 1 Optum Circle, Eden Prairie, MN 55344 (Telecommuting available from anywhere in the U.S.)
DUTIES: Research, design, and develop computer and network software or specialized utility programs. Duties include: In agile environment, plan meetings, sprint planning meetings, backlog grooming sessions, release checkouts, war rooms, weekly grooming sessions, sprint retrospectives and daily scrums; involved in all aspects of project planning including gather requirements, design, development and maintenance; lead, develop and maintain fully functional applications both front and backend; translate design team UX wireframes and mockups into responsive, interactive features; design, configure and deploy solutions on AWS focusing on high – availability and auto-scaling; diagnose logs and investigate to find unidentified issues and diagnose the root cause of the issue; implement various resources in AWS; deploy Infrastructure as Code(loC) applications; develop CI/CD pipelines for and automate code to deploy in multiple environments without manual intervention; leverage industry standards and technology trends in software development to improve the product; and, collaborate and host brainstorming sessions with other team members to implement solutions that are aligned with business requirements. Telecommuting available from anywhere in the U.S.
REQUIREMENTS: Employer will accept a Master’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or similar or related field and three (3) years experience in the job offered or in an Engineer-related
occupation.
Position requires three (3) years experience in the following:
* TypeScript, React Native, React, Node.js, AWS, Terraform, DataDog, and GraphQL;
* Development of front-end and back-end applications using cloud, reacts, or redux;
* JavaScript, React frameworks, Redux, Hooks, or CSS;
* Terraform Templates, Azure PowerShell Module and, Azure CLI using Azure Portal, PowerShell; and
* Terraform Templates
RATE OF PAY: $130,653 – $217,455 / per year
