About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled python Developer to join our team in Reston. Requires strong expertise in Python development and Amazon Web Services (AWS). The ideal candidate will have experience working on large-scale applications within the financial industry (preferred, but not mandatory), and should be capable of designing, implementing, and debugging solutions in a complex cloud environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain applications using Python in an AWS environment.
- Work with various AWS services including S3, Redshift, storage, compute, and serverless services.
- Perform implementation, debugging, and optimization within AWS.
- Contribute to application design and complex problem-solving in large-scale development projects.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements, provide technical input, and deliver solutions.
- Develop and execute unit tests and automated test scripts to ensure code quality.
- Apply DevOps best practices (CI/CD, automation, troubleshooting) to support development environments (nice-to-have).
- Ensure code and solutions meet performance, scalability, and security standards.
- Communicate effectively across teams and with business stakeholders.
Required Qualifications
- 6–10+ years of experience in software development (more is welcome).
- Strong hands-on expertise in Python development.
- In-depth experience with AWS cloud services (storage, compute, and serverless solutions).
- Demonstrated experience working on large, complex applications.
- Proven ability in designing, architecting, and implementing solutions.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Experience with unit testing and automation frameworks.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience in the financial services industry.
- Exposure to DevOps practices (CI/CD pipelines, automation tools).
- Experience handling complex design decisions and providing technical recommendations.
