The Payloads Organization within Boeing Commercial Aircraft is seeking Technical Designers (Mid-Level or Senior) for our Seats Integration Team (SIT) positions in Everett, WA. The SIT organization is responsible for the installation, integration, and certification of all passenger and attendant seats on Boeing commercial aircraft.  

 

The selected candidate will have a statement of work that spans the product lifecycle: supporting customer configuration development, supplier engagement, validating and verifying design requirements, integrating business needs, and supporting the product through the production and certification processes. As a member of the team, you will need to interface with other members of SIT project teams, production system, program/product teams, management, and other technical staff to define and implement engineering solutions. You will be able to combine the expertise and resources of the interiors organization to certify and deliver the best interiors products within the industry.

SIT is seeking candidates with experience in any of the following areas:

  • Engineering product definition

  • Direct engagement designing for aerospace suppliers or airlines

  • Experience supporting the validation of compliance to regulatory requirements

  • Design for manufacturing

  • Software Exp. (ie. Visual Basic, Python, Java)

 

Position Responsibilities:

  • Leads the development and maintenance of engineering product definition.

  • Oversees the development of design layouts and the modification of existing designs to satisfy customer and production requirements.

  • Develops engineering product definition based upon Company requirements and parameters.

  • Coordinates development of engineering product definition with internal/external parties to ensure compliance with applicable standards, requirements and design parameters as well as product functionality.

  • Integrates work statement, work scope and work transfer packages with internal and external customers to requirements.

  • Oversees, directs and integrates the completion of product definition across internal and external business partners and products to provide a functional end-product.

  • Investigates and resolves complex manufacturing process or engineering related issues.

  • Verifies accuracy of engineering data produced by others.

 

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Degree: Associates

 

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • 3+ years of experience

  • Good Communication Skills

  • CATIA or Enovia skills

  • Experience with Design Concepts & Techniques

  • Understanding of Engineering Processes

  • Engineering Knowledge/Comprehension

  • Analytical Skills (Technical)

Please note that the salary information shown below is a general guideline only. Salaries are based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

 

Summary pay range for Mid Level (level 3): $68,000 - $92,000

Summary pay range for Senior (level 4): $80,750 - $109,250
