We are seeking an experienced Infrastructure Product Owner with a strong background in IT infrastructure delivery and enterprise Agile practices. You will be responsible for defining, prioritising, and managing the development and delivery of products or services that meet both operational and business needs. Acting as the primary interface between stakeholders and delivery teams, you will ensure that the product aligns with strategic objectives, delivers value, and meets user requirements.
This is a fully onsite role in Basingstoke for candidates with DV clearance and sole UK nationality.
Backlog Ownership & Prioritisation: Own and maintain the team backlog, ensuring alignment with business goals and stakeholder needs.
Value Delivery: Collaborate with stakeholders to maximise product value delivered by the team.
Program & Product Roadmap Alignment: Work with Product Management to align team objectives with the Program Backlog and Product Roadmap.
Customer Advocacy: Represent customer needs and ensure products meet expectations.
Define Features & Acceptance Criteria: Work with the delivery team to define clear acceptance criteria and refine user stories.
Support Agile Teams: Ensure development teams understand the backlog, priorities, and business context.
Participate in PI Planning: Define feature priorities for Program Increments (PIs) and align multiple teams.
Collaborate with Architecture/Engineering: Ensure technical feasibility and alignment with architectural guidelines and organisational governance.
Product Vision & Strategy: Develop a clear strategic product vision for cloud and IT infrastructure solutions, aligned with customer goals and market trends.
Business Analysis: Conduct thorough analysis to identify and document detailed requirements for infrastructure initiatives.
Stakeholder Collaboration: Act as the primary point of contact for product-related decisions, working closely with business stakeholders, architects, and delivery teams.
Quality Assurance & Validation: Collaborate with QA teams to define acceptance criteria and validate delivered features.
Continuous Improvement: Monitor product performance, user feedback, and industry trends to drive ongoing improvements.
Proven experience as a Product Owner, preferably in IT infrastructure or cloud-focused environments.
Strong knowledge of Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) and enterprise Agile practices.
Experience in infrastructure delivery, including cloud, networking, servers, storage, virtualization, and IT operations.
Ability to define and manage a backlog, roadmap, and program increments.
Strong collaboration and communication skills with stakeholders, architects, and delivery teams.
Familiarity with Agile tools such as Jira, Rally, Confluence, or similar.
Experience conducting business analysis and translating requirements into actionable user stories.
DV clearance (Developed Vetting) or eligibility to obtain.
Sole UK national / British citizen.
Must be onsite 5 days per week in Basingstoke.
Background in enterprise-level infrastructure projects or government/defence environments.
Experience with cloud-based solutions (Azure, AWS, GCP).
Understanding of enterprise architecture frameworks (e.g., TOGAF, ArchiMate) to support alignment with delivery teams
