Job Title: Business Architect
Key Responsibilities:
1. Domain Model Development and Alignment:
· Define, support, and maintain a comprehensive domain model.
· Ensure alignment with enterprise-wide strategic goals and support cross-functional integration.
· Collaborate with stakeholders to validate and refine domain models to reflect evolving business needs.
2. Enterprise Design Leadership:
· Support the development of enterprise architecture frameworks to meet business objectives and simplification initiatives.
· Design and implement standardised processes to ensure consistency across business units and systems.
· Facilitate the integration of enterprise design principles into operational and IT strategies.
3. Simplification Programme Support:
· Provide architectural oversight to ensure simplification efforts align with the domain model and enterprise design.
4. Guidance and Capacity Building:
· Offer expert guidance to business and IT teams on architecture best practices, standards, and methodologies.
· Mentor and develop the core business architecture team to build long-term capacity and expertise.
· Foster a culture of collaboration and innovation through workshops, training, and knowledge-sharing sessions.
5. Stakeholder Engagement and Communication:
· Engage with senior leadership, business units, and IT teams to ensure alignment between business needs and architectural solutions.
· Communicate complex architectural concepts clearly and concisely to non-technical stakeholders.
· Act as a bridge between business and technical teams to ensure seamless delivery of architectural initiatives.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
· Experience:
· Minimum of 7-10 years in business architecture, enterprise architecture, or related roles.
· Proven track record in large-scale transformation projects.
· Technical Proficiencies:
· Deep understanding of domain modelling, enterprise architecture frameworks (e.g., TOGAF, Zachman), and business process management (BPM).
· Experience in leading simplification or process optimisation initiatives with a focus on measurable outcomes.
· Leadership and Communication:
· Strong leadership skills with the ability to influence stakeholders and mentor teams.
· Exceptional communication and presentation skills.
· Collaboration:
· Ability to work both within the enterprise design team and independently with domains.
