The Colleague Experience Technology Services (CETS) organization supports delivering technical solutions and engineering in support of corporate and colleague products within American Express. As part of that organization, the CETS Data & Analytics engineering team develops best-in-class solutions to support the data and analytical needs of our stakeholders coming from a variety of Line of Business domains. The Manager, Delivery Manager will support the CETS Data & Analytics engineering team by leveraging technical knowledge to drive delivery of multi-disciplinary projects across technical, regulatory, and business requirements - from beginning to end. They will translate business objectives into execution strategy and anticipate, track and resolve risks, dependencies, and impediments to project delivery.
How will you make an impact in this role?
Oversees the delivery of technology projects and coordinates with leadership, stakeholders, and technical teams to drive successful project outcomes and implement best practices
Collaborates with engineering teams to drive alignment on architectural approaches and technical strategy to execute delivery.
Responsible for tracking delivery, and activities related to medium to high complexity initiatives by adding to design discussions, issue resolution, and removing obstacles to ensure program goals are met.
Embraces the technology software delivery lifecycle process and agile principles and role models a continuous improvement mindset.
Minimum Qualifications
3+ years in program delivery and project management
Experience managing multiple initiatives, priorities, and teams
Bachelor's Degree in technical discipline or equivalent work experience required
Independently defines problems and identifies solutions in the face of ambiguity
Understands and aligns priorities to the program vision and strategy
Technical knowledge sufficient to understand and discuss technical challenges and systems design
Ability and aptitude to learn and understand new technologies quickly in the context of strategy and delivery
Ability to collaborate across teams and able to build and leverage strong working relationships and bring different opinions to consensus
Technical problem solving and issue-resolution abilities
Adaptive communication style including strong verbal and written communication skills with demonstrated experience engaging and influencing cross-functional stakeholders and senior leaders
Demonstrated knowledge of project management process, project management software tools, templates, and management techniques
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with Agile/SAFe/Lean methodologies a plus
Certifications in project management methodologies is preferred
Experience with Data Warehouses, Data Lakes, or Big Data a plus
Experience with Business Intelligence, including ML and Gen AI, a plus
Experience with Access Management, Compliance, and Data Privacy a plus
Salary Range: $123,000.00 to $215,250.00 annually + bonus + benefits
