Job Title: Senior Quality Inspector – Radiography Inspection

Location: Barrow-in-Furness.

Salary: Starting from £37,091 (+ 20% shift allowance)

What you’ll be doing:

• Undertaking radiography activities in compliance with departmental processes, Local Rules, radiation risk assessments, and established HS&E controls

• Accurately document findings and input all relevant information into BAE Systems’ reporting platforms

• Supporting supplementary surface inspections such as DPI and MPI

• Mentoring and supporting radiography apprentices through practical, on-the-job learning

• Performing scheduled maintenance and functional verification of processing equipment, providing support for calibration tasks as required

Your skills and experience:

• PCN Level 2 in RT welds with BRS (ARS & Interpretation experience desirable)

• PCN Level 2 in DPI

• PCN Level 2 in MT / CR/ U.T 31 & 3.2 Desirable

Join an expert team delivering essential radiography and NDE support on advanced Submarine builds — ensuring every weld and structure meets the highest standards of integrity. This is a varied role which involves working all over the Shipyard and where you’ll gain valuable exposure across the business. We offer relocation support packages across all Submarines roles, subject to meeting eligibility criteria.
