Job Summary:  
We are seeking a skilled Database Administrator to join the Cloud DBA Team. As an   
experienced DBA, you will be responsible for managing, optimising, and ensuring the   
integrity of our databases in a multi cloud environment. Your expertise will play a   
critical role in maintaining data security, performance, and availability while supporting   
the needs of Totalmobile data driven operations.  
Responsibilities:  
• Designing implementing and maintaining our databases to support applications   
and systems  
• Monitoring databases, identify and resolving issues, optimising database   
performance.  
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to understand and translate business   
requirements into database structures and configurations.  
• Managing database security and access controls to protect sensitive data from   
unauthorised access, ensure compliance with relevant regulations.  
• Managing and Monitoring backups and recovery procedures.  
• Assisting in database capacity planning and scalability to meet growth and   
business needs.  
• Experience of cloud DB technology with industry best practices, emerging   
technologies and trends in database management, compliance and governance.  
Skills and experience  
• Proven experience as a Database Administrator or in a similar role.  
• Experience in MSSQL administration, configuration, maintenance and   
monitoring.  
• Proven experience in a cloud environment using Azure SQL Database, Azure   
Managed Instance, RDS, Aurora.  
• Strong knowledge of database security principles and best practices.  
• Proficiency in writing complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and database   
scripts.  
• Familiarity with cloud database monitoring and cloud optimisation tools.
• Understanding of database backup and recovery procedures in Azure and AWS   
(Amazon Web Services).  
• Experience in database capacity planning and scaling across different cloud   
deployments.  
• Desirable experience developing solutions using PowerShell, Python, ARM   
templates, or Bicep to automate and optimise processes and deployments.  
• Experience with MySQL or Postgres is desirable but not essential.  
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, report writing and cloud   
integration tools.  
• Strong attention to details and ability to work with minimal supervision.  
• Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with cross functional   
teams.
