Experience Designer – Midweight – Working on Nectar - 12m FTC
At Sainsbury’s we believe that the customer should be at the heart of everything we do. Our vision is to create the easiest, most enjoyable experiences that better serve our customers’ ever-changing needs. We work across a range of services, products, touch points and tools to deliver distinctive, integrated, and consistent experiences for our customers and colleagues across Sainsbury’s Group (which includes Sainsbury’s Food, Argos, Nectar, Tu and Habitat).
We drive brilliant experiences across all our brands in-store and online, operating in agile teams and squads, working seamlessly with teams right across the business to make the most of the exceptional knowledge, insight, and talent we have.
The role:
This is an exciting role in the Customer Loyalty team, designing experiences for the Nectar App, website and wider Nectar experiences across our Ecosystem. With more than 18 million customers, Nectar is the UK's largest loyalty scheme, but there's more to it than points and Nectar Prices. We also work with hundreds of partners across retail, travel and more, that includes some of the UK's favourite brands, such as Avios and Esso to offer our customers real value.
As an Experience Designer, you will be responsible for understanding how our customers shop with us, what value and loyalty means to them, what their pain points are and what the moments of delight could be when interacting with the Nectar proposition. You will have access to research and insights and work closely with our loyalty product, engineering and marketing teams. You will take those customer pain points and the business needs and design solutions that make customers’ experiences using the Nectar App and website as easy, fun and joyful as possible.
We work agile so you will be in our Digital Experience Design Team, but you will be working very closely with product and engineering to make sure we are consistently putting the customer at the heart of what we do.
You will be regularly collaborating with teams and stakeholders from other parts of the business who will rely on your knowledge of user experience, accessibility, and service design. This role is highly collaborative and will look at customers experience end to end and across channels, from online to in store and from brand new customer and those who have used Nectar for years.
You will have had lots of experience of user experience design for digital products and be able to use design thinking to plan out that work, getting feedback from stakeholders. With tight feedback loops and the ability to bring about huge changes to our customers, this position offers an extremely rewarding design role.
