DESCRIPTION:
Duties: Serve as a member of an agile team to design and deliver trusted market-leading technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way. Carry out critical technology solutions across multiple technical areas within various business functions in support of the firm's business objectives. Execute software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting to build solutions or breakdown technical problems. Create secure and high-quality production code and maintain algorithms that run synchronously with appropriate systems. Produce architecture and design artifacts for complex applications while being accountable for ensuring design constraints are met by software code development. Gather, analyze, synthesize, and develop visualizations and reporting from large, diverse data sets in service of continuous improvement of software applications and systems. Proactively identify hidden problems and patterns in data and use these insights to drive improvements to coding hygiene and system architecture. Contribute to software engineering communities of practice and events that explore new and emerging technologies.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum education and experience required: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science and Engineering, Computer Information Systems, Management Information Systems, Information Technology, or related field of study plus 5 years of experience in the job offered or as Software Engineer, Application Developer, or related occupation.
Skills Required: This position requires five (5) years of experience with the following: Developing software with a tech stack that includes Spring Framework, Java, RESTful and SOAP web services; SQL or Oracle; Maven for build automation; JSON for data interchange; Version control with GIT; Continuous integration and deployment using Jenkins and Bamboo; and testing frameworks including JUnit, manual and unit testing methodologies. This position requires two (2) years of experience with the following: Designing and developing Open APIs and break monolith application into Microservices applications using Java Framework and Spring Framework; Kubernetes for container orchestration; and data manipulation, data structuring, data design flow and query optimization using programming language such as SQL or Oracle.
