Applies Systems Administration/Engineering subject matter knowledge to solve common and complex technical server administration issues within established guidelines and by identifying and recommending appropriate alternatives. Acts as a team or project leader and/or system architect providing direction to team activities and facilitates information validation and team decision making process. Does not require day to day supervision and has ability to handle most unique situations. May seek advice in order to make decisions on complex technical issues.

 

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Project Management: 
    • Create and maintain project schedules for multiple concurrent projects by developing project plans and specifications, estimating time requirements, establishing deadlines, monitoring milestone completion, tracking all phases of the project lifecycle, coordinating actions, and resolving conflicts
    • Includes documenting, prioritizing, and tracking requests (changes, enhancements, etc.) to coordinate with customers and change control
    • Provide weekly status reporting
  • Solutions Management: 
    • Ongoing support, maintenance, and operations of an application, technology, and/or business solution
    • Monitor and maintain uptime and performance as it relates to SLA’s and department responsibilities
    • Develop, propose, and lead opportunities for business process optimization
  • Customer Service: 
    • Provide training and guidance to (internal/external) customers
    • Keep accurate records of discussions and/or correspondence with such
    • Mentor staff in improving customer service excellence
  • Research and Development: 
    • Act as system architect and resident authority on multiple areas of technology
    • Research, present, and gain approval for emerging technology
    • Ensure that the deployment of technology enhances and improves the business
  • Documentation: 
    • Lead, and direct creation and maintenance of all technical documentation as it relates to department responsibilities

Required Qualifications:

  • Technical Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • 4+ years of System Administrator experience
  • Implementation, support, and maintenance of Windows Server Operating Systems
  • Implementation, support, and maintenance of Microsoft Clustering or other HA solutions
  • Solid Directory Services Administration (Active Directory, LDAP, ADAM)
  • Solid understanding of networking fundamentals and troubleshooting
  • Solid understanding of backup / recovery and other business continuity services
  • Solid understanding of alerting and monitoring
  • Solid understanding of architecture, security, and performance tuning
  • Solid understanding of storage technologies including SAN and NAS (Configuration, Zoning on Fiber Channel Switches, and multi-pathing)
  • Solid VBscript , ADSI, and WMI skills
  • Advanced knowledge of Windows kernel and registry
  • Knowledge of build automation, patch management, automated deployments and packaging

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). No matter where or when you begin a career with us, you’ll find a far-reaching choice of benefits and incentives. The salary for this role will range from $71,200 to $127,200 annually based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable
