Due to the secure nature of the programme, you will need to hold UK Security Clearance or be eligible to go through this clearance. We welcome applications from candidates across the UK, and Northern Ireland, and occasional travel to Belfast will be required. This will likely be a few visits anticipated at the beginning of the projects and approximately every six months thereafter. When not working on client site, the successful candidate may work remotely or from their nearest CGI office.

Your future duties and responsibilities

In this role, you will lead the design, development, and implementation of complex Salesforce solutions, ensuring best practice, scalability, and maintainability. You’ll guide a talented development team, providing mentorship and technical direction to deliver robust, client-focused outcomes. Collaborating closely with architects, project leads, and business stakeholders, you’ll help shape high-impact solutions that align with CGI’s commitment to innovation and client success.

You’ll play a key part in defining technical standards, optimising performance, and fostering a culture of creativity and accountability, ensuring each project delivers measurable value and long-term success.

Key responsibilities:

• Lead & Innovate: Drive the development of advanced Salesforce components and integrations.
• Develop & Deliver: Design and implement high-quality, scalable solutions across Apex, LWC, and API layers.
• Mentor & Guide: Support and coach mid- and junior-level developers, fostering technical growth.
• Collaborate & Architect: Partner with technical leads and architects to shape solution design and estimation.
• Optimise & Document: Ensure performance tuning, testing excellence, and comprehensive system documentation.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role

You should have a proven track record in Salesforce development, with deep technical knowledge and leadership experience in guiding development teams to success. Your ability to translate business needs into scalable technical solutions will be key to excelling in this role.

Essential qualifications:

• Extensive hands-on experience in Salesforce development.
• Strong expertise in Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), and API integration.
• Experience leading peer reviews and mentoring developers.
• Proven ability to contribute to architecture design and technical estimation.
• Salesforce Platform Developer II certification (or equivalent experience) desirable.
