Overview of the Role:
Network Engineer is directly responsible for the planning, deployment, and management of lab networks, including the basic design of emerging network instances. Individual will respond to network incidents, determine resources needed for correction, and lead resolution efforts. Has in-depth experience, knowledge, and skills in their area of discipline, usually determining own work priorities and serving as a resource for colleagues with less experience. This function will consist of a small team of Engineers and work closely with other peer functions that include Design Engineering, Video Engineering, CMTS Engineering, Systems Engineering, Data Center Infrastructure, and Project Management.

Preferred Skills & Experience:
3-7 years of experience in Network Operations and a comprehensive understanding of Layer 2, Layer 3, TCP/IP, OSPF, BGP, and IS-IS.
Experience with platform operating systems such as: IOS, eOS, and JUNOS (IOS XR preferred)
Intermediate ability to analyze and evaluate complex networks, identify issues, and apply corrections or enhancements to ensure network operation efficiency.
A self-starter who demonstrates critical thinking, self-motivation, time-management, and curiosity.
Ability to partner with functional teams to influence and drive alignment.
Technical Precision & Problem Solving: Strong technical acumen with meticulous attention to detail and a track record of sound judgment in independent work.
Project & Priority Management: Skilled at managing multiple priorities in fast-paced, collaborative environments while maintaining high-quality outcomes.
Stakeholder Engagement & Communication: Excellent interpersonal and consulting skills, with the ability to effectively engage both internal teams and external partners.
Change Leadership: Experience identifying and implementing process changes through data-driven insights, fostering innovation and continuous improvement.
