Job Summary

The Analyst, Security Operations & Analytics is responsible for analyzing, evaluating, and translating enterprise security operations data into actionable intelligence that drives decision-making, goal setting, and risk reduction across Comcast. This role builds and maintains advanced reporting dashboards and analytical frameworks that deliver insights and visibility into investigations, incident response, physical security assessments and security program awareness. This role partners closely with Security Operations leadership to align performance metrics with enterprise prioritize and operational goals, and strategic objectives. The position also supports the development and administration of collaboration and reporting platforms to ensure secure, efficient information sharing across security functions. The role serves as a trusted advisor to leadership by providing data-driven insights, quantitative analysis, and recommendations that enhance operational effectiveness, support enterprise-wide security services, and enable scalable, intelligence-led security operations.

Job Description

Core Responsibilities

Security Analytics, Reporting & Insights

  • Design, build, and maintain dashboards and reports that provide real time and historical visibility across investigations, incident response, physical security assessments, and training programs. 

  • Develops and delivers weekly, monthly, and annual security operations reports covering investigations, incident response, physical security assessments, and security awareness training. 

  • Creates executive-level dashboards and performance scorecards that support operational decision-making, strategic planning, and goal setting. 

  • Maps security performance metrics to enterprise risk priorities, operational plans, and tactical initiatives. 

  • Translate complex security data into intuitive visualizations tailored to executive, operational, and business audiences. 

  • Establish standardized KPIs and metrics frameworks to measure performance and maturity across security functions. 

  • Provides forward-looking analysis to identify trends, emerging risks, capacity gaps, and improvement opportunities. 

  • Conducts post-incident, post-investigation, and post-assessment analysis to measure outcomes, effectiveness, and lessons learned. 

Operational Support for Investigations, Incident Response & Physical Security Support 

  • Analyzes investigative caseloads, clearance rates, cycle times, and outcomes to support resource allocation and operational optimization. 

  • Supports incident response operations by tracking response metrics (e.g. MTTD, MTTR, escalation patterns, resolution timelines, and business impact). 

  • Develops analytical frameworks and reporting to support physical security assessments, mitigation tracking, and risk scoring. 

  • Consolidates data across investigative, response, and assessment activities to provide a holistic view of enterprise security operations. 

Systems & Tools Administration 

  • Manage collaboration, reporting, and workflow platforms (e.g., SharePoint, Teams, case management tools, Confluence, Smartsheet) to support Security Operations. 

  • Organize and govern documentation, reports, and intelligence products, ensuring accuracy, version control, and appropriate access. 

  • Partner with IT and business stakeholders to enhance system functionality, data pipelines, automation opportunities, and user experience. 

  • Builds and maintains modern, interactive dashboards using approved business intelligence and visualization tools. 

  • Automates recurring reports and data feeds where possible to improve timeliness, accuracy, and scalability. 

  • Establishes standardized security metrics, KPIs, and reporting frameworks across Security Operations. 

Data Governance, Quality Continuous Improvement 

  • Conducts regular data validation, quality audits and integrity checks across security data sources to ensure the accuracy, consistency, and integrity of security operations data. 

  •  Support development and implementation of data governance standards for investigations, incident response, assessments, and training information. 

  • Recommend improvements to data collection processes, reporting methodologies, and tools. 

  • Serves as a subject matter expert in security operations reporting systems and analytics.  

Leadership Partnership & Strategic Support 

  • Provides analytical support to Security Operations leadership for staffing models, service expansion, and enterprise-wide support. 

  • Prepares briefing materials and data-driven narratives for executive reviews and strategic discussions. 

  • Acts as a resource and mentor for team members seeking to leverage data and analytics in security operations. 

  • Exercises independent judgment and discretion in matters involving sensitive security information. 

Additional Responsibilities 

  • Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned to support Security Operations and enterprise objectives. 

  • Maintains regular, consistent, and punctual attendance; may support after-hours or on-call activities during critical incidents or enterprise events. 

Desired experience, education and qualifications 

  •   3–5+ years in security analytics, operations analysis, business intelligence, or related fields.  
  •   Experience with investigations, incident response, physical security, or corporate security preferred.  
  • Demonstrated experience building dashboards in tools such as Power BI, Tableau, Qlik, or Looker.  
  • Experience with workflow/case management systems (e.g., ServiceNow, Resolver, Salesforce, Archer, Radar, or similar).  
  • Experience with automation tools (Power Automate, Python, SQL, etc.)  
  •   Proven ability to work with sensitive and confidential information. 
  • Proficiency in data visualization tools (Power BI strongly preferred in most enterprise environments).  
  • Strong data analysis skills (Excel, SQL, Python preferred).  
  • Familiarity with security operations platforms such as:  
  • Incident/case management tools 

  • Physical security systems (Genetec, Avigilon, others) 

  • Experience managing collaboration/workflow platforms (SharePoint, Teams, Confluence, Smartsheet). 

Preferred Qualifications 

  • Bachelor’s degree in data analytics, information systems, criminal justice, intelligence studies, business analytics, or a related field. 

  • Advanced degree or professional certifications beneficial:  

  • ASIS CPP/PSP 

  • Power BI or data analytics certifications 

  • Experience developing KPI frameworks or enterprise scorecards. 

  • Experience supporting operational security teams (investigations, incident response, physical security, threat management, security awareness).

Salary:

Pay Range: This job can be performed in Washington, and Denver Campus with a Pay Range of $56,698.16 - $106,309.06. This job can be performed in California with a good faith estimated pay range upon hire of $51,028.35 USD - $94,496.94.

Comcast intends to offer the selected candidate base pay within the posted range for this role at the time of posting dependent on job-related, non-discriminatory factors such as experience.
