The candidate will be responsible for configuring the transmission circuit's designed hardware path over COLT-owned equipment and network by looking at the circuit type and its bandwidth as well as by using his own knowledge and experience. Candidate will be required to analyse the requirements and verify its routes and the design. Once verified, he will be configuring circuits remotely by accessing network elements via Colt’s network management systems over Colt’s DWDM / OTN / MSP / M MSP / IQNET Packet & Optical Networks. Once configured, the circuit needs to be tested (via pre-test procedures) to ensure an “alarm free” state. Once circuit is ready to deliver, he will be required to co-ordinate with field engineers for E2E testing of the services, during this task he will be required to perform continuity test, loop test, switching test, insertion of network elements, removal of network elements from the management server. Additionally, the candidate will be responsible for performing Service Readiness (RTG -Ready‑to‑Go) checks on services, as well as scheduling and coordinating tasks for field technicians to ensure timely completion of field‑related installations, activation, and testing activities.
Upon completion, the Order Handling System (Siebel), XTRAC, Circuit Database (ARM) and Network Management Systems and all other relevant databases are to be updated.
Configuration & Testing of circuits over Colt’s Ethernet/ DWDM / OTN / MSP / M MSP / Networks & IQNET Packet & Optical platforms against customer contracts within target-timelines.
Co-ordinate with field engineers for Installation, Activation & E2E testing of the services, during this tasks he will be required to perform continuity test, loop test, switching test, insertion of network elements, removal of network elements from the management server.
Responsible for performing Service Readiness (RTG – Ready to Go) checks, along with scheduling and coordinating activities for field technicians to ensure timely completion of installations, activations, and testing activity at site.
Coordinating with 3rd party teams to schedule field technician visits at customer sites for installation, activation, and testing of services.
Possess end-to-end knowledge of the service delivery workflow, ensuring timely and efficient delivery of customer services.
Demonstrate advanced troubleshooting skills by identifying service related issues and resolving them effectively. Actively participate in troubleshooting calls with customer technical teams, providing real-time support to ensure quick resolution.
Coordinate with OLO (Other Licensed Operators) to ensure timely delivery of OLO lines and collaborate with their technical teams to troubleshoot and resolve OLO line issues.
The ideal candidate with 08-12 years of relevant industry experience in Configuration (Access and Core Network). Good understanding/Knowledge on Installations, Activation, Configuration & Testing of Customer services on Optical / Packet / DWDM and EoSDH / IP network and have practical experience of Bandwidth configuration and testing.
Good knowledge on various testers (like VeEX, SUNRISE, ACTERNA, ANT-5, ANT-20 etc.) used for testing of transmission links.
Excellent knowledge of Optical, Transmission, Ethernet / DWDM / OTN / MSP / M MSP / NGN Packet Network Technologies.
Excellent understanding of Metro-Ethernet technologies and MPLS based L2 VPN services (Ethernet P2P or P2MP).
Good knowledge of various interface used to deliver Data, Voice and IP based circuits on transmission network.
