Waters Materials Sciences Division (TA Instruments)  is on the lookout for a Sr. Technical Support Specialist to join our Analytical Sciences team. As a Technical Support Specialist, you’ll be part of a team whose mission is to delight our customers and ensure customer success.

  • Assist the Sales team to match prospective customers with the right  Waters Materials Sciences Division (TA Instruments) solution by participating in interactive presentations and performing feasibility studies.
  • Engage in application-specific follow-up support with current customers to ensure their continued success.
  • Research emerging markets to identify new applications.
  • Refine and promote new applications for existing and upcoming products.
  • Train our customers how to apply and operate our instruments during Thermal, Rheology, and Thermo-physical Properties (TPP) products and applications
  • Contribute application expertise to Marketing content, such as presentation slides, webpages, brochures, and application notes.

  • Assist the Sales team to match prospective customers with the right  Waters Materials Sciences Division (TA Instruments) solution by participating in interactive presentations and performing feasibility studies.
  • Engage in application-specific follow-up support with current customers to ensure their continued success.
  • Research emerging markets to identify new applications.
  • Refine and promote new applications for existing and upcoming products.
  • Train our customers how to apply and operate our instruments during Thermal, Rheology, and Thermo-physical Properties (TPP) products and applications
  • Contribute application expertise to Marketing content, such as presentation slides, webpages, brochures, and application notes.
  • Work closely with Business partners and Field Sales operations to provide credible and impartial consultancy and technical support in a fast-paced pre- and post-sales environment.
  • Collaborate with the team of Account Managers in diagnosing the customer’s requirements, and design an analysis that showcases the better capabilities of Waters product portfolio in line with the customers’ goals.
  • Perform instrument demonstrations and provide expert advice to customers during the sales process, focusing on how Waters' system solutions will address and benefit the customer’s needs.
  • Ensure that the equipment, analysis, and customer demonstrations are properly prepared in order to guarantee the highest level of customer experience promptly.
  • Perform system and application training as well as serve as a technical sponsor to customers after the product has been installed.
  • Conduct internal Waters Solutions Training to Field Sales Operations

Qualifications

  • Three years of hands-on experience with DSC, TGA, SDT, DMA, and Rheology instrumentation and software is highly desirable. Experience with TA Instruments Products would be ideal!
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Strong self-motivation, scrupulous attention to detail, high-quality written and oral communication skills, and the ability to thrive in a collaborative environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and customer-centric focus.
  • Flexibility to travel, as needed, to customer locations.

Education

  • Master's or PhD degree in Analytical Chemistry, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Materials Science/ Polymer Engineering, or related field.

Experience

  • 3+ years of user experience with DSC, TGA, SDT, DMA, TMA, and Rheometer
