Your future duties and responsibilities
In this role, you will lead the delivery of product design across a defined workstream, shaping discovery and translating research insights into clear opportunity areas, hypotheses, and validated solutions. You will define end-to-end user journeys, information architecture, interaction patterns, and scalable UI components that deliver accessible, coherent experiences across platforms and devices.
You will work closely with researchers, engineers, product owners, and stakeholders to ensure solutions balance user desirability, technical feasibility, and commercial viability. You will define success metrics, plan and measure experiments, and demonstrate impact through evidence-based outcomes. Alongside owning UX/UI quality and continuous improvement, you will contribute to design systems and mentor other designers within the team.
Key responsibilities:
• Shape and lead discovery activities, translating insights into design opportunities
• Design and deliver end-to-end user journeys and scalable UI patterns
• Create and test prototypes to validate assumptions and reduce delivery risk
• Collaborate closely with engineering to ensure accurate implementation
• Define and measure product success metrics and outcomes
• Own and improve UX/UI quality, design debt, and continuous optimisation
• Facilitate co-design workshops with multidisciplinary teams
• Support and mentor junior designers
Required qualifications to be successful in this role
You should bring proven experience leading product design across the full lifecycle, from discovery through to delivery, ideally in client-facing environments. You will combine strong product thinking, interaction design expertise, and the ability to communicate design value clearly to stakeholders.
Essential qualifications and experience:
• Proven experience leading end-to-end product design for complex products or features
• Strong portfolio demonstrating complex user journeys and scalable design systems
• Experience planning and conducting user research and design experiments
• Ability to define and measure product success metrics
• Strong collaboration experience across product, engineering, and stakeholders
• Experience acting as a design lead in client-facing delivery environments
• Strong understanding of accessibility standards and design systems
