As a Senior Product Associate in the Marketing Automation Platforms team, you are directly responsible for the delivery of features and capabilities for the Marketing Automation Platform Workflow teams, as prioritized by the product team, triad, and cabinet, into production in accordance with predicted timelines to meet customer expectations Business Analyst Job Description.docx. You contribute by leveraging expertise in product development and optimization, using user research, customer feedback, and product metrics to drive creation of innovative products and continuous improvement of existing offerings.
Job responsibilities- Partner with the Product Manager to identify new product opportunities reflecting customer and market needs through user research and discovery.
- Conduct research and analysis of existing capabilities to appropriately leverage them or supplement them with new requirements.
- Analyze and verify requirements for completeness, consistency, comprehensibility, feasibility, and conformity to standards.
- Establish understanding of customer needs to define and prioritize requirements; partner to ensure requirements meet legal, control, and risk standards.
- Support collection of user research, journey mapping, and market analysis to inform the strategic product roadmap and identify product features that provide customer value.
- Consider and plan for upstream and downstream implications of new product features on the overall product experience.
- Collaborate with UI/UX design partners to ideate on user experience, create conversational flow diagrams, and define UI specifications.
- Componentize initiatives into executable Epics delivering customer business value within one release.
- Define and write requirements, epics, and user stories for collaboration with technology partners to deliver against requirements within a sprint.
- Drive timely delivery by ensuring alignment to target dates, and ensuring grooming/refinement of epics and stories is completed to meet sprint and release goals.
- Participate in technical desk checks with software developers and QA to iterate on requirements and acceptance criteria, reducing defects and improving delivery efficiency.
- Analyze, track, and evaluate product metrics, including performance against work-to-time, cost, and quality targets across the product development lifecycle.
- Complete UAT testing goals and timelines in accordance with release timelines.
- Be accountable for defect resolution by prioritizing and defining criticality using analytic metrics and severity guidelines, ensuring timely resolution or risk acceptance while mitigating customer impact.
- Manage requirements associated with customer rollout approaches for new capabilities and own the customer experience of implemented features.
- Ensure features/capabilities are validated at release, participate in monthly control checks, and escalate/prioritize production defects through triage, mitigation, and remediation aligned to severity/criticality.
- Participate in Agile scrum events (e.g., Daily Standup, Desk Check Review, PO sign-offs, defect reviews, backlog/epic/story refinement, sprint reviews, retrospectives) to deliver the above Business Analyst.
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills- 3+ years of experience (or equivalent expertise) in product management / product ownership or a relevant domain area, with hands-on experience across discovery, requirements definition, and delivery
- Proficient knowledge of the product development lifecycle and agile product development / SDLC
- Strong capability in writing product requirements, epics, and user stories, and refining/grooming backlog items to meet sprint and release goals
- Experience partnering with Product Managers, Tech, QA, and UI/UX to shape end-to-end customer experiences (e.g., user research support, journey mapping, UX flows, UI specifications, desk checks)
- Developing strength in product metrics and analytics, including tracking delivery to time, cost, and quality targets and using data to support prioritization and defect criticality
- Working knowledge of technical architecture concepts and systems diagrams; some data analysis familiarity (e.g., SQL, reporting)
- Familiarity with API-based designs, microservices, and web services
- Experience or exposure to Marketing Workflow / Campaign Automation, and ideally Adobe tooling (AEM, Workfront, Fusion, Frame.io)
- Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to influence across levels; comfort operating under tight timelines and in fast-moving team environments
- BA/BS in an applicable field of study (or equivalent practical experience)
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills- End-to-end Agile delivery ownership (epics â stories â sprint execution).
- Strong in requirements excellence: proven ability to lead requirements discovery and gathering, translate customer/stakeholder needs into clear, testable product requirements, and produce high-quality epics and user stories that guide delivery end-to-end.
- UAT leadership and release readiness validation.
- Familiarity with Adobe tools (AEM, Workfront, Fusion, Frame.io).
- Ability to operate effectively in ambiguous problem spaces, translating strategy into executable epics/stories and sequencing delivery across multiple teams.
