This leader drives strong participant experience and business outcomes, while strengthening the team’s advice and broad solutions acumen, regulatory discipline, and partnership across the Workplace and Personal Wealth Organizations. As part of the new Participant Financial Success organization within the Workplace Solutions division, it’s an exciting time to be on the Participant Consulting & Education team as we’re growing quickly and investing in our leadership and infrastructure as we strive to help even more participants. This team’s work directly ties to top-line OKRs around driving participant financial well-being and building lifelong Vanguard relationships.

What you’ll do

  • Drive participant and business outcomes by ensuring a deep understanding of in-plan and out-of-plan solutions, strong appointment availability, consistent service quality, and effective follow-through that supports strong participant financial well-being.

  • Elevate planning quality and problem-solving by supporting advisors in analyzing participant retirement planning needs, resolving issues, and translating insights into practical, participant-centered solutions.

  • Influence and execute strategy by contributing to annual business planning, departmental priorities, and long-term strategic initiatives that strengthen the VSA service and operating model.

  • Shape how work gets done by developing, influencing, and implementing departmental policies and procedures; communicating internal and industry developments quickly and accurately; and supporting organization evolution and change management at the department level.

  • Build trusted partnerships by cultivating close relationships with internal and external stakeholders and serving as a visible leader within the Workplace and Personal Wealth organizations.

  • Serve as a planning resource by maintaining deep knowledge of Vanguard products, funds, services, financial planning, capital markets, and the broader financial services industry; sharing expertise with internal partners as needed.

  • Lead special projects and other initiatives that advance the team, improve the client experience, or support business needs.

What the role offers:

  • Working with an awesome extended leadership team in Participant Consulting & Education.

  • Opportunity to evolve and scale a critical offer while contributing meaningfully to enterprise initiatives.

  • Ability to work with cross-departmental partners.

  • Be at the intersection of leadership, advice, education and sales.

What a successful candidate looks like

  • A highly motivated, crew-focused leader that has demonstrated experience building strong team cultures.

  • An open-minded and solution-oriented team player that enjoys building new capabilities and ways to work.

  • Eight years of related experience in participant advice and/or financial consulting, including supervisory experience, strongly preferred.

  • Undergraduate degree or equivalent combination of training and experience. Graduate degree preferred.

  • CFP preferred.

  • This job requires series 7, 63, 24, 65/66 regulatory license and/or registration (e.g. FINRA, state, SFC).
