As a Software Engineer III at JPMorganChase within the Consumer and Community Banking, you serve as a seasoned member of an agile team to design and deliver trusted market-leading technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way. You are responsible for carrying out critical technology solutions across multiple technical areas within various business functions in support of the firmâs business objectives.
Job responsibilities
- Provide E2E Performance testing / engineering solutions for various application / projects.
- Develop, design, execute performance test using JMeter or Blazemeter, Hammer, Cyara and understanding of workload model to ensure applications are scalable and reliable by utilizing tools like Dynatrace, Grafana,AWS Cloudwatch,Splunk to identify and resolve bottlenecks.
- Collaborate with development and operations teams to optimize application performance and resource utilization, implementing solutions for real-time performance monitoring.
- Demonstrate strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively in fast-paced environments, ensuring the successful delivery of high-quality software solutions and Improve the reliability and repeatability of performance testing.
- Experience of Performance testing in containerized applications using Kubernetes to ensure optimal performance in cloud environments.
- Proactively identifies hidden problems, patterns in data, and uses these insights to drive improvements to coding hygiene and system architecture
- Contributes to software engineering communities of practice and events that explore new and emerging technologies like AI usage.
- Implement deployment automation and CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, ensuring accessibility and security compliance across all systems and applications.
- Apply Agile methodologies to effectively manage and deliver performance engineering projects, proactively identifying hidden problems and patterns in data to drive improvements in coding hygiene and system architecture.
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts with 3+ years of applied experience.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, with experience in performance engineering or a similar role.
- Strong understanding of programming fundamentals and proficiency in performance testing and monitoring tools like JMeter, Blazemeter ,Hammer, Cyara, Grafana,CloudWatch,Splunk and Dynatrace.
- Experience with AWS/cloud computing, Kubernetes, and scripting / programming with Java/Python.
- Solid understanding of agile methodologies such as CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, Application Resiliency.
Demonstrated knowledge of software applications and technical processes within a technical discipline (e.g., cloud, artificial intelligence, machine learning, etc.)
- Exposure to cloud technologies with minimum of AWS Cloud Practitioner certification
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Experience with Amazon Connect is an added advantage.
