Position Overview
At CGI, you’ll help organisations turn data into real business value by designing and leading modern data architectures across complex environments.
As a Data Architect, you’ll work at the intersection of business and technology, shaping data strategy, influencing senior stakeholders, and defining scalable, secure, and future-ready data platforms.
You’ll play a key role in driving data-led transformation, ensuring architecture decisions translate into measurable outcomes.
What you’ll do
- Lead data architecture strategy across complex client environments
- Design modern data platforms across cloud, AI, and analytics ecosystems
- Align data strategy with business goals, governance, and compliance frameworks
- Validate and assure high-risk, business-critical data solutions
- Define target operating models for data organisations
- Shape and develop data and analytics offerings within the practice
- Manage architectural risk across large-scale programmes
- Collaborate with engineers, analysts, and consulting teams
- Influence senior stakeholders and guide strategic decisions
What you’ll need
- Strong experience in data architecture across multi-cloud environments
- Deep knowledge of data modelling, warehouses, and lakehouse patterns (e.g. Delta Lake)
- Experience with modern AI platforms (e.g. OpenAI, AWS Bedrock, Claude)
- Understanding of data governance, security, and risk frameworks
- Experience with enterprise data platforms and analytics ecosystems
- Ability to validate and assure complex technical solutions
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
Nice to have
- TOGAF or similar architecture frameworks
- DAMA-DMBOK data management principles
- Experience with Power Platform and SharePoint (low-code ecosystems)
