About the role

We’re looking for a Sales Training Coach to help build the capability and confidence of our SMB sales teams, with a particular focus on our frontline contact centre environment.

Sitting within the Learning & Development team and working closely with Sales and Commercial stakeholders, this role plays a key part in enabling colleagues to successfully sell new and evolving propositions. You’ll combine engaging training delivery with in‑role coaching to help turn learning into consistent, high‑quality sales behaviours and improved commercial outcomes. This is an opportunity to be at the forefront of new product launches and sales campaigns, gaining early insight into what’s coming next and helping shape how those propositions land with customers. You’ll work closely with agents and team leaders, staying close to frontline operations and using real‑world experience to influence how training and learning are designed.

The role is well suited to someone who enjoys supporting others to develop and succeed, and who finds motivation in seeing the impact of their coaching and training on performance. It also offers a strong platform for future development — whether into more senior training roles, sales enablement, or people leadership.
If successful, you'll be onsite in Birmingham and will deliver both face to face and remote training, primarily onsite, and, where required, at other Business Locations. On occasion, the role holder will have to work the full five days onsite when delivering New Entrant/ Induction training. Outside of this, the role will follow BT’s 3 together, 2 wherever hybrid working policy.

What you’ll be doing

- Delivering structured sales training, including induction / new entrant training, product capability and core selling skills

- Providing 1:1 and small group coaching to help embed learning and improve confidence and sales outcomes

- Listening to live and recorded calls to provide timely, constructive feedback on sales behaviours

- Running targeted interventions to support underperformance or reinforce priority skills

- Building relationships with agents, team leaders and operational stakeholders

- Supporting the rollout of new products, campaigns and changes into the sales environment

- Using insight, experience and feedback to continuously refine training approaches
