JOB DESCRIPTION

The Risk Management and Compliance (RM&C) organization plays a critical role in protecting JPMorgan Chase and our clients by identifying and managing risk across businesses and geographies. The team partners with leaders to strengthen governance, enable responsible growth, and meet evolving regulatory expectations. RM&C’s Chief Data Office (CDO) advances an agile Data Risk Management framework that proactively identifies and monitors emerging and existing risks, establishes effective controls, and drives the RM&C Data Strategy through strong governance.

As the Risk Management & Compliance (RM&C) Data Strategy lead in RM&C, you will promote the RM&C transition toward a Data Product approach as part of our larger data strategy. This role will have a dual reporting line to both the RM&C CDO lead and the head of RM&C Data Strategy.  You will partner with the Firmwide CDO and technology to design and implement an approach to define, develop and register data products, so that a collection of curated data for a specific business need can be easily re-used to increase speed to insight. You will also work with the Executive Data Owners and Data Product Managers across RM&C to define their data product landscape, track progress toward the target state, and build a culture of data product management.

Job responsibilities:

  • Lead end-to-end program management for the rollout of RM&C Data Products, including roadmap development, delivery execution, risk/issue management, and milestone tracking.

  • Drive executive-level communications in partnership with the Head of RM&C Data Strategy by curating senior messaging, updates, and briefing materials for key forums

  • Coordinate cross-functional delivery across RM&C stakeholders to align priorities, dependencies, and adoption plans for Data Products.

  • Partner with Corporate Technology to define and deliver RM&C tooling needs for Data Products, translating business requirements into actionable technology outcomes.

  • Represent RM&C in Firmwide CDO working groups and forums, ensuring alignment to enterprise standards, sharing progress, and bringing back best practices to RM&C.

  • Enable change management and adoption by supporting stakeholder engagement, training/enablement coordination, and feedback loops to continuously improve the rollout.

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills:

  • Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in data and AI / ML domain, or related areas
  • Minimum 4 years experience as either a product manager, product designer, engineer, data analyst, data scientist, or user researcher
  • Demonstrated ability to figure out solutions to hard problems with many constraints, using sound judgement to assess risks, and to lay out argument in a well-structured, data-informed, written narrative
  • Demonstrated program management expertise, with a proven track record of delivering complex, cross-functional initiatives requiring close coordination across diverse stakeholders and partner teams.
  • Proven ability to engage with engineers, designers, and company leaders in a constructive and collaborative relationship
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to translate complex topics into clear, concise messaging tailored to technical and non-technical audiences, including senior leadership.

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills:

  • Familiarity with common cloud-native data analysis platforms such as Databricks, or Snowflake
  • Familiarity with the financial services industry
  • Experience building or managing data pipelines and datasets
