DevOps Engineer

Your future duties and responsibilities
CGI’s Secure Space Systems division is seeking a proactive and experienced DevOps Engineer to lead Kubernetes deployments across multiple platforms. You will play a key role in building and maintaining secure, automated, and highly available infrastructure.
Key responsibilities:
• Manage Kubernetes platforms across development and production environments
• Deploy and support Kubernetes across RKE2, EKS, Tanzu, and OpenShift
• Build, maintain, and automate CI/CD pipelines using tools such as GitLab CI, Jenkins, Ansible, Terraform, and CloudFormation
• Implement and enforce security best practices across infrastructure and deployments
• Monitor system performance and proactively resolve issues across nodes and clusters
• Support incident response and production troubleshooting activities
• Collaborate with senior engineers and mentor junior team members
• Contribute to continuous improvement of DevOps processes and platform reliability
• Support infrastructure automation and configuration management practices
• Ensure systems are resilient, secure, and optimised for performance
Required qualifications to be successful in this role
• Strong experience in a DevOps or Platform Engineering role
• Hands-on experience with Linux and containerised environments
• Deep understanding of Kubernetes (K8S, K3S, EKS, AKS, RKE2, OpenShift)
• Experience with infrastructure management, virtualisation, and networking concepts
• Strong background in CI/CD pipelines and automation tools
• Experience using tools such as GitLab, Jenkins, Ansible, Terraform, or CloudFormation
• Understanding of security best practices, including secure or air-gapped environments
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Ability to work effectively in fast-paced, mission-critical environments
• Experience mentoring or supporting other engineers
