Salary: £82,900+ depending on skills and experience

Who we are:

Join BAE Systems and you’ll be part of something bigger. As a valued member of our global colleague network, you’ll bring your unique skills and perspectives to help pioneer progress and protect what matters most. You’ll be trusted to play your part in delivering the advanced, technology-led defence, aerospace and security solutions of tomorrow, shaping a safer future, for all of us.

From the depths of the ocean, to the far reaches of space, there’s no limit to where a career at BAE Systems could take you.

Role Description:

The Senior Campaign Lead will play a pivotal role in shaping and delivering BAE Systems’ strategic campaigns across priority Defence capability areas. Sitting within the Digital Intelligence business, this role is responsible for developing and executing coherent, customer‑aligned campaigns that cut across domains, technologies, and force elements, supporting the UK MOD’s evolving operational and strategic priorities.

You will lead domestic campaigns spanning digital, information, and operational integration themes, working closely with internal stakeholders, partners, and UK Government customers to position BAE Systems as a trusted, credible, and innovative delivery partner. While the role is broad by design, experience or familiarity with Cyber Electromagnetics (Cyber EM) and information‑centric warfare concepts will be essential when engaging with certain capability areas and customers.

Core Duties:

  • Lead the development and execution of senior‑level Defence campaigns across multi‑domain and digitally enabled capability areas, ensuring alignment with MOD strategy, operational requirements, and emerging joint force concepts
  • Collaborate with Business Development team members, Bid Managers, and technical leaders to develop compelling value propositions and win strategies that address customer outcomes rather than single technologies or platforms
  • Support the development of campaign strategies, Integrated Business Plans, and go‑to‑market approaches that reflect cross‑domain integration and digital enablement
  • Represent BAE Systems in cross‑industry, pan‑Defence working groups, steering boards, and innovation forums focused on joint effects, digital transformation, and future operational concepts
  • Provide thought leadership and mentoring across the business, supporting early‑stage opportunity shaping and the development of future leaders within campaign and business development communities
  • Ensure full alignment with BAE Systems’ business winning processes, governance, and approval frameworks

Essential Skills:

  • You will have proven experience in campaign leadership, business development, or strategic roles within Defence, government, or related sectors, operating in complex, multi‑stakeholder environments
  • You will have demonstrated ability to develop and execute win strategies for high‑value, strategically important opportunities that span multiple domains or capability areas
  • You will have knowledge or experience of Cyber Electromagnetics, cyber operations, or information‑centric warfare concepts
  • You will have strong commercial and strategic acumen, with the ability to align complex technical capabilities to evolving customer needs in contested and rapidly changing environments
  • Experience working in or with Defence primes, MOD, or other government departments is highly desirable

The team:

The BAE Systems Digital Intelligence Defence business is at the forefront of delivering mission-critical capabilities across the cyber, electromagnetic, intelligence, and multi-domain battlespace. We work in close partnership with UK Defence, Government, and international allies to protect national interests, enable operational advantage, and support strategic deterrence.

Our mission is to be the UK’s leading digital defence partner, delivering trusted, sovereign capabilities across Cyber EM, Signals Intelligence, Multi-Domain Integration, and Secure Mission Systems. We are focused on enabling operational readiness, enhancing decision advantage, and delivering integrated effects across land, maritime, air, space, and cyber domains.
