Who are we looking for?

The Head of Operations is responsible for overseeing the general management, structure and processes of teams within Group Enablement. They identify issues, skills gaps and opportunities to improve across the teams and are responsible for setting up efficient ways of working within the department. The Head of Operations should act as a general escalation point for delivery, project and resource issues and should provide a central point for reporting and updates to the Group Network and Secuirty director. They have overall responsibility for ensuring the team is on track to deliver against strategic milestones and business priorities. They are a key contact for departmental heads.

What will you be doing day-to-day?

  • Collaborating with the director and department heads throughout the decision-making, planning and delivery stages of all work streams.
  • Compiling departmental reports/updates providing insights for the Group Network & Security director, Group Enablement leadership team and wider stakeholders.
  • Creating and continually improving processes and ways of working to ensure optimal efficiency and productivity.
  • Defining, reviewing and improving the team’s structure and helping to address ongoing problems or skills gaps.
  • Acting as liaison between the leadership team to provide  the director with business updates, feedback on project progress and overall departmental health. 
  • Driving delivery outputs, ensuring that this stays on track and is as defined within the Delivery Lead and their team’s responsibilities to ensure that delivery is on track and that all teams are performing in line with expected role outcomes, strategic milestones and business priorities.

What You’ll Need 

  • Team Leadership: Ability to lead cross-functional teams, motivating and guiding them toward achieving organisational goals.
  • Stakeholder Management: Experience in managing relationships with key stakeholders, including senior leadership and external partners.
  • Conflict Resolution: Ability to resolve conflicts within teams and between stakeholders to maintain project flow and team morale.
  • Change Management: Proven ability to manage change effectively, particularly in fast-paced environments or during periods of growth or transformation.
  • Process Optimisation: Ability to identify inefficiencies in operations and implement process improvements to streamline workflows and reduce costs.
  • Operational Strategy: Experience in developing and executing operational strategies aligned with business goals and priorities.
  • Financial Oversight: Ability to manage budgets, monitor financial performance, and identify areas for cost optimisation.
  • Effective Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to clearly convey  updates, strategies, and goals to both internal teams and stakeholders in the wider business.
  • Collaboration: Ability to work closely with other leaders in the organization, including those in product, finance, and HR to ensure alignment across functions.

Please note this role will be a hybrid role requiring 3 days a week from our office
