Description

The Senior Commercial Manager – Aeronautical Revenue holds strategic accountability for Heathrow’s aeronautical charging framework, overseeing a c.£2bn revenue portfolio derived from aircraft and passenger charges. 

This role is responsible for defining and shaping pricing strategy, engaging with key stakeholders, regulatory positioning, and commercial frameworks to support Heathrow’s long-term strategic objectives. 

Responsibilities

  • Own and lead Heathrow’s aeronautical charges strategy, setting long-term direction in alignment with corporate objectives and regulatory frameworks. 
  • Provide strategic leadership across the aeronautical revenue agenda, ensuring integration with finance, regulation, sustainability, operations, and airline engagement strategies. 
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to robustly manage risk and exposure. 
  • Lead, develop, and inspire a high-performing team, fostering accountability, capability building, and delivery excellence. 
  • Shape and influence aeronautical pricing strategy, including direct input into regulatory settlements and future price control periods. 
  • Lead the development of pricing models, frameworks, and commercial scenarios, ensuring alignment with best practice and market benchmarks. 
  • Act as a senior commercial interface with airlines and industry stakeholders, building trusted, long-term strategic relationships. 

Qualifications

  • Significant experience in commercial, pricing, or revenue management roles, ideally within a complex or regulated environment 
  • Proven track record of developing and delivering pricing strategies with material financial impact 
  • Strong leadership experience, including managing and developing high-performing teams and leading cross-functional initiatives 
  • Demonstrated ability to operate at senior stakeholder level, influencing internal executives and external customers 
  • Extensive experience in stakeholder management and negotiation, particularly in high-value or sensitive commercial environments 
  • Advanced analytical and numerical capability, with experience in financial modelling, pricing frameworks, or cost analysis 
  • Aviation industry experience (desirable)
