Join us as Technical Product Owner, where you will be responsible for:

  • Defining and communicating a clear product and/or journey vision aligned with organizational strategy.
  • Creating and managing the product roadmap, incorporating customer needs, business priorities, and regulatory considerations.
  • Owning, refining, and prioritizing the product backlog to maximize value delivery.
  • Translating business goals into clear user stories, acceptance criteria, and functional requirements.
  • Working closely with Vendor Partners, Technology teams, and the User groups to ensure timely and high‑quality delivery.
  • Monitoring product performance, value outcomes, and delivery progress, adjusting priorities as needed.
  • Communicating progress, risks, dependencies, and delivery plans to key stakeholders.
  • Ensuring mandatory controls (e.g., ORACs, governance alignment, architectural compliance) are incorporated.
  • Representing the product in all delivery forums and providing day‑to‑day clarification to the squad.
  • Signing off releases and ensuring compliance with the organization’s Definition of Done.

To be successful as a Product Owner, you should have:

  • Strong communication and stakeholder‑management skills, able to articulate vision and value clearly.
  • Ability to balance strategic thinking with hands‑on execution, prioritization, and problem‑solving.
  • Technical understanding of systems, dependencies, architecture constraints, and end‑to‑end flows.
  • Analytical mindset with ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
  • Customer‑first approach with ability to translate insights into impactful product improvements.
  • Ability to influence, collaborate, and drive alignment across business, technology, and control functions.

Basic / Essential Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Experience as a Product Owner, Business Analyst, or similar role.
  • Hands‑on experience with product management tools (Jira, Trello, ADO).

Desirable Skillsets / Good to Have:

  • Experience within capital markets/ wealth management domain.
  • Working knowledge of APIs, data flows, integration patterns, and technical design.
  • Exposure to governance frameworks, risk processes, and control requirements.
  • Certification such as CSPO/PSPO (preferred but not mandatory).

Job location is Mumbai.

Purpose of the role

To collaborate with product owners and other technical teams involved in the product development process and utilise their knowledge of the bank’s technologies to enact the vision defined in the product roadmap. 

Accountabilities

  • Provision of subject matter expertise to support the collaboration between the product owner and the technical side of product development.
  • Support the development and implementation of the product strategy and vision defined in the product roadmap and communicate them with the relevant stakeholders and the development team.
  • Collaboration with internal stakeholders to gather and prioritise product requirements and features based on business value and feasibility that are well defined, measurable and secure.
  • Development and implementation of assessments to ensure continuous testing and improvement of product quality and performance.
  • Monitoring of product performance to identify opportunities for optimisation that meets the banks performance standards.
  • Stay abreast of the latest industry technology trends and technologies, to evaluate and adopt new approaches to improve product development and delivery.

  • Collaborate with other areas of work, for business aligned support areas to keep up to speed with business activity and the business strategy.
  • Engage in complex analysis of data from multiple sources of information, internal and external sources such as procedures and practises (in other areas, teams, companies, etc).to solve problems creatively and effectively.
