Our client is seeking a highly motivated Full‑Stack or Back‑End Java Engineer to help build and enhance next‑generation platforms supporting global post‑trade operations. Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain microservices and distributed systems using Java, Spring Boot, and related frameworks.
  • Implement high‑quality, scalable APIs and event‑driven components supporting Asset Servicing workflows.
  • Collaborate with product, operations, and architecture teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
  • Contribute to modernization initiatives, including cloud adoption, containerization, and migration from legacy platforms.
  • Ensure code quality through automated testing, CI/CD pipelines, and adherence to engineering best practices.
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies, peer reviews, and production support rotations as needed.
  • Analyze performance bottlenecks and optimize services for reliability, throughput, and latency.
  • Maintain strong documentation and contribute to knowledge‑sharing across the team.

Required Qualifications

  • 3–6 years of hands‑on software engineering experience.
  • Strong proficiency in Java 8+, Spring Boot, Hibernate/JPA, and RESTful service development.
  • Experience with relational databases (Oracle, PostgreSQL, or similar).
  • Familiarity with messaging technologies (Kafka, MQ, or equivalent).
  • Solid understanding of microservices architecture and distributed systems.
  • Experience with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and automated testing frameworks (JUnit, Mockito, etc.).
  • Ability to work in an Agile environment and collaborate with cross‑functional teams.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Exposure to front‑end technologies (React, TypeScript, Angular) for full‑stack roles.
  • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or internal cloud solutions).
  • Knowledge of Asset Servicing, Corporate Actions, or broader post‑trade processes.
  • Familiarity with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Experience with performance tuning and large‑scale, low‑latency systems.

We are committed to fair, transparent pay, and we strive to provide competitive compensation in addition to a comprehensive benefits package.  The base pay rate for this position is $90,000- $115,000 USD.  

This pay rate represents mthree's good faith and reasonable estimate of the base pay for this role at the time of posting and based on the locations listed in the job advertisement. It is anticipated that qualified candidates selected for a placement will receive this pay rate as a starting salary once onsite with the mthree client, however, the ultimate salary offered for this role may be higher or lower and will be set based on a variety of non-discriminatory factors, including but not limited to, geographic location, skills, and competencies.
